Attefallshus AB is mainly focused at designing and building compact houses which meet the new requirements. The big and appealing challenge beside designing beautiful houses lies within finding intelligent and space saving interior solutions.
Our contribution to A+ Awards is therefore showing our focus on the new swedish building code. We have designed an interesting and different architectural solution. The project which we have named āThe Epic Waveā describes some of the opportunities which are now possible to execute without a planning permit.
A surrounding frame of the big window sections reinforce the unusual shape of the attefallshus facade. Beside contributing an interesting feature to the architecture it also conceal gutters and downspouts effectively. The frame can also be used as a trellis. Our attefallshus demonstrates an entrence hall with tailored storage solutions in order to maximize usage, a combined livingroom/kitchen, a toalett/shower and a loft. Generous window sections allows a grand view over the sea horizon and invites healthy light into the living space. Three openable window sections erase the border between in- and outdoor.

Vi tƤnker oss detta hus som en vacker komplementbyggnad till ett 20-talshus eller ett hus med brutet tak. Huset har en totalhƶjd pĆ„ 4 meter enligt reglerna fƶr Attefallshus. Takhƶjden pĆ„ insidan Ƥr 3,39 upp till nock och 2,10 m takhƶjd i badrum. Detta hus har bĆ„de ett sovloft och ett sovrum med plats fƶr en sƤng som Ƥr 120 cm bred. Our entry "The Epic Wave" demonstrates Attefallshus which is a new Swedish building code. The new law is named after Swedish minister of housing Stefan Attefall. The new code allows house owners to build 25 sqm complimentary house with a height of maximum 4 m on their premise without a traditional building permition.
Our short movie also shows additional features such as a 15 sqm "Friggebod", pergolas, connecting terrace etc. All are possible to build without building permition. There are some restrictions but overall itĀ“s ok to errect.
Attefallshus AB is specialized in developing compact living solutions. We think outside the famous box and invent creative and functional houses totally customized for each dreaming client. We have also developed prefabricated standard models for easy assembling.
