About Project
In Sweden there is a new building code that allows house owners to build a 25m2 (270 square feet) additional house with a height of maximum 4 meters on their premise without a building permit. These buildings are called Attefallshus, named after the Swedish minister of housing Stefan Attefall.
Attefallshus AB is mainly focused at designing and building compact houses which meet the new requirements. The big and appealing challenge beside designing beautiful houses lies within finding intelligent and space saving interior solutions.
Our contribution to A+ Awards is therefore showing our focus on the new swedish building code. We have designed an interesting and different architectural solution. The project which we have named ”The Epic Wave” describes some of the opportunities which are now possible to execute without a planning permit.
A surrounding frame of the big window sections reinforce the unusual shape of the attefallshus facade. Beside contributing an interesting feature to the architecture it also conceal gutters and downspouts effectively. The frame can also be used as a trellis. Our attefallshus demonstrates an entrence hall with tailored storage solutions in order to maximize usage, a combined livingroom/kitchen, a toalett/shower and a loft. Generous window sections allows a grand view over the sea horizon and invites healthy light into the living space. Three openable window sections erase the border between in- and outdoor.
Indoor, the loft ladder is hung on the wall beside the working desk while not in use. The ladder is used for accessing the smart storage cabinets which are positioned above ground floor and the sleeping loft.

Attefallshus “25 kvadrat Louise” är ett ljust bygglovsfritt hus på 25 kvadratmeter med yttermåttet 7,15 x 3,50 meter. Huset har både ett sovloft och ett sovrum med plats för en säng som är 140 cm bred. I huvudrummet mellan sovrummet och badrummet finns plats med ett litet trinettkök. Huset har en totalhöjd på 4 meter enligt reglerna för Attefallshus. Takhöjden på insidan är 3,35 m upp till nock och 2,10 m takhöjd i sovrum och badrum. Taket har en lutning på 35 grader.
Förvaring finns under sängen. Sovloftet kan både användas som sängplats och förvaring. Önskas mer förvaring föreslår vi att man tar bort något fönster och placerar skåp mot väggen. 3D bilderna visar endast ett förslag till inredning. Ni är helt fria att inreda som det passar er bäst. I denna illustration har vi valt att ha en glasad dubbeldörr och ett fast fönster på vardera sida. Här kan du också välja att ha vikdörrar om så önskas likt “25 kvadrat Filippa”.

Attefallshus “25 kvadrat Filippa” är ett fantastiskt mysigt attefallshus i bästa New England-stil. Likt “25 kvadrat Linnea” och “25 kvadrat Lousie” är det generösa ljusinsläpp. Huset mäter 25 kvadratmeter med yttermåttet 7,15 x 3,50 meter. Huset har en totalhöjd på 4 meter enligt reglerna för Attefallshus. Takhöjden på insidan är 3,35 upp till nock och 2,10 m takhöjd i badrum. Taket har en lutning på 35 grader.
I bilderna nedan demonstreras ett fullutrustad kök och handikappsanpassad badrum. Det finns ett sovloft över badrum. Önskas sovrum på nedre plan föreslår vi bäddsoffa eller sängskåp. Skåp och annan förvaring kan lätt placeras mot badrumsväggen. Då badrummet är ganska stort föreslår jag även förvaring där. 3D bilderna visar endast ett förslag till inredning. Ni är helt fria att inreda som det passar era behov bäst. Illustrationen har vikdörrar som gör att ute blir inne om man viker upp dörrarna. Önskar man inte vikdörrar kan man sätta in fasta fönsterpartier och t.ex en dubbeldörr som på “25 kvadrat Louise”.
Klassisk arkitektur när den är som bäst. Vackra spröjsade fönster med generösa ljusinsläpp borgar för ett trevligt boende. Attefallshus “25 kvadrat Linnea” mäter 25 kvadratmeter i en klassisk stil med brutet tak med yttermåttet 7,15 x 3,50 meter.
Vi tänker oss detta hus som en vacker komplementbyggnad till ett 20-talshus eller ett hus med brutet tak. Huset har en totalhöjd på 4 meter enligt reglerna för Attefallshus. Takhöjden på insidan är 3,39 upp till nock och 2,10 m takhöjd i badrum. Detta hus har både ett sovloft och ett sovrum med plats för en säng som är 120 cm bred. I huvudrummet mellan sovrummet och badrummet finns plats med ett litet trinettkök. Förvaring finns under sängen. Sovloftet kan både användas som sängplats och förvaring. Önskas mer förvaring finns det plats med skåp vid ena väggen nära sovrummet. 3D bilderna visar endast ett förslag till inredning. Du är helt fri att inreda som det passar ert behov bäst.

Our attefallshus demonstrates an entrence hall with tailored storage solutions in order to maximize usage, a combined livingroom/kitchen, a toalett/shower and a loft. Generous window sections allows a grand view over the sea horizon and invites healthy light into the living space. Three openable window sections erase the border between in- and outdoor.
Indoor, the loft ladder is hung on the wall beside the working desk while not in use. The ladder is used for accessing the smart storage cabinets which are positioned above ground floor and the sleeping loft.

Klassisk arkitektur när den är som bäst. Vackra spröjsade fönster med generösa ljusinsläpp borgar för ett trevligt boende. Attefallshus “25 kvadrat Linnea” mäter 25 kvadratmeter i en klassisk stil med brutet tak med yttermåttet 7,15 x 3,50 meter.
Vi tänker oss detta hus som en vacker komplementbyggnad till ett 20-talshus eller ett hus med brutet tak. Huset har en totalhöjd på 4 meter enligt reglerna för Attefallshus. Takhöjden på insidan är 3,39 upp till nock och 2,10 m takhöjd i badrum. Detta hus har både ett sovloft och ett sovrum med plats för en säng som är 120 cm bred. I huvudrummet mellan sovrummet och badrummet finns plats med ett litet trinettkök. Förvaring finns under sängen. Sovloftet kan både användas som sängplats och förvaring. About Project
In Sweden there is a new building code that allows house owners to build a 25m2 (270 square feet) additional house with a height of maximum 4 meters on their premise without a building permit. These buildings are called Attefallshus, named after the Swedish minister of housing Stefan Attefall.
Attefallshus AB is mainly focused at designing and building compact houses which meet the new requirements. The big and appealing challenge beside designing beautiful houses lies within finding intelligent and space saving interior solutions.
Our contribution to A+ Awards is therefore showing our focus on the new swedish building code. We have designed an interesting and different architectural solution. The project which we have named ”The Epic Wave” describes some of the opportunities which are now possible to execute without a planning permit.
A surrounding frame of the big window sections reinforce the unusual shape of the attefallshus facade. Beside contributing an interesting feature to the architecture it also conceal gutters and downspouts effectively. The frame can also be used as a trellis.
