And as promised yesterday here are a picture of the back side and the AT-RT in full crouching position.

I added the atrt to the same shot that I posted recently. Credit to Jerac for his awesome tie fighters that mine is based on.

My second AT-RT design. Slightly bigger than my v1, but still a small package.

The All Terrain Recon Transport (AT-RT), also known as the Republic scout walker, was a model of recon walker used mainly during the Clone Wars by Advanced Recon Force troopers. It was the precursor to both the All Terrain Defense Pod and the All Terrain Scout Transport. During the Galactic Civil War, these walkers were adopted by both the Galactic Empire, who used Scout troopers to man the vehicles, and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, who upgraded them to compete with the advancements of the Empire.

The AT-RT's were usually used for a variety of missions including ground support, police support, civil defense, and post-battle cleanup efforts. They occasionally took up position on the front lines of ground battles when difficult terrain prevented the use of larger vehicles.

There's more to the story, which is why there's a review video on YouTube, and images on MOCpages!

My third build for Iron Builder with 6kyubi6

Secret ingredient for this round is that dreadful pitchfork.

The instructions of the 3rd version of my custom AT-RT walker are available for free, on my Rebrickable page: rebrickable.com/users/Gubi0222/mocs/

I think, this is the final version of my build, since I believe this is the most accurate, I was able to make. The instructions are following the plain grey, but you can easily swap some colors, to recreate the colorshemes from EP3 and the 501st one from Clone Wars. *The 501st version uses the stickers from the official set (75280).

I hope you like this update!

My obsession over the past four years: an accurate, minifig-scale AT-RT. (All Terrain Recon Transport) This is the fifth major rendition. One of the things I really wanted was the sand green, which between one Kashyyyk Trooper, one Huttlet, and six pairs of sand green hands makes this creation worth nearly $100! This started out as an experiment as to whether I could make a walker using a motorcycle (50859b on bricklink) as a base. Whether it worked is up to you!

I've seen so many speeder bikes using this piece (and the associated motorcycle fairings) as a base and marveled at their intricate use of some more non-conventional parts (like minifig weapons and utensils) so this is my attempt at that.

It's perhaps a little big for a minifig but I kinda like it.

A quick MOC built for RebelLUG's MOC contest: Grid Wars

Hey everyone! I did a little “mashup” of all the Republic vehicles and ships I’ve made! It’s starting to look like a proper armada hey?

There’s a minifigure in there for scale.

Please note that some of these will probably never have instructions, while others will, like the juggernaut, the AT-OT and the Y-Wing.

Hope you like it! 😁

Running through the wind...

I took a shot at making my own custom AT-RT like any self-respecting LEGO Star Wars fan would, and I think it turned out pretty decent. I borrowed a few ideas from the AT-RT found in 8098 Clone Turbo Tank from 2010 for the body but the legs are completely custom to my knowledge. I used Mixel joints for their wider range of motion for the hips and ankles, but also used brackets to restrict sideways motion for the knees. This allows for more dynamic poses you see these things do in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and to even balance on one leg. I had considered adding colors to represent the different regiments, but this thing has been built for three weeks, if I was going to do it, I'd have done it already. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm always open to comments and constructive criticism so let me know what you think of it!

Someone park his bicycle with a tree and shaded with some net that like no one can find a bike is here.

Keeping with the theme of an earlier picture, this pose mimics a piece of concept art I vaguely remember. If anything, it offers a better look at the pose-ability of the legs.

In case you haven't guessed it, yes, it did need a assistance to balance. It might be possible, but I have yet to find a way. Main issue being the clips used for the hip joints. They just aren't stiff enough.

This is all of the AT-RT for now, unless I make any major changes. Next up is a diplomatic wedge, maybe.

Quick build for a quick visit home! Back to Uni life.

My partner got me a 501st battlepack for Christmas and it's brought me out of my Dark Age.

so confused by the current state of the Lego community on Flickr, hope I've not caused any faux pas already!

Modified and shortened the BARC speeder and scratch built some AT-RT's too.

Going back to my Star Wars roots. Just recently revamped my AT-RT design and added a ton of extra details and parts. I don't know if I ever posted my first version; I used it on my Kashyyyk MOC. The original base design for this model came from someone on YouTube if I remember correctly.

Found Hasbro Vintage Wave 6 at both my local Targets:

VC44 Luke Skywalker - Dagobah Arrival (Ep V)

VC45 Clone Trooper (Ep 2)

VC46 AT-RT Driver (Ep 3)

VC47 General Lando Calrissian (Ep IV)

VC48 Weequay Skiff Master (Ep VI)

VC49 Fi-Ek Sirch (Ep 2 Arena Jedi)

I wasn't planning to buy all these, but couldn't stop.

This is my final color variant of this little guy and his walker before I start my next project. I'm pretty excited about all the positive reception and blogging that this build has gotten! Thanks, everybody!

Here is a shot of my two prequel era minifig scale vehicles together.

Some small updates to my AT-RT, having spent a week working from home and with it on my desk. The feet have been updated with more accurate toes, while the front armour plating is now much less gappy. I think it could be fine-tuned a bit more but I'm much happier with this updated version.

I just got two more battle packs of these guys, so couldn't resist making a cute little at-rt to go with them.

The 41st is my favorite SW corps ("core" not "corpse"). Can you guess my iPhone password with this info? :P

Yeah, the lights are a bit of a gimmick, but I bought 'em, so I'm going to bloody well use 'em!

I managed to clean up the wire routing on the AT-RT to make it a bit less conspicuous. I did my best on the BARC speeder as well, but it was ridiculously fiddly trying to get the LEDs in the right place. My patience ran out roughly where the wires are visible in the background. I think it was worth it though.

"What's the point of all this? I mean, why?"

"I don't know, sir. I don't think anybody knows. But I do know that someday this war is gonna end."

"Then what? We're soldiers. What happens to us then?"
