Also known as Hiroshima Peace memorial, this is one of the few buildings surviving the atomic blast. Standing 160m from the hypocenter it was destroyed in seconds.
Stands there to remind the world of the terrible consequences of atomic bombing.

The Atomic Arrow is an extremely fast speeder bike named after its dart-like shape and neon-green glow. Equipped with a gamma fusion engine, hard-light stabilizer wings, and powerful thrusters, this lean, mean, racing machine was built for speed! You can see it here racing down the Nightline City Raceway at breakneck speeds piloted by its rider Jade Lightning.
This is my Nightline City entry for the Lego Speeder Bikes Racing League contest.

I have received several of my prototype models.
Know that these are Shapeways grade plastic prototypes and as a result are not as durable as ABS Plastic.
I am posting them to help raise both awareness, and increase funding to get these and many like them made in plastic.
In the pile you will see.

Now I've seen the absolute worst of both sides of WWII... Auschwitz and Hiroshima...
The Dome was the only building still standing after the first A-bomb ever used on mankind was detonated at a height of about 1,900 feet (580 m) above Hiroshima. The time was 8:16 AM on the 6th of August 1945.
Within the first two to four months of the bombings, the acute effects killed 90,000–166,000 people in Hiroshima.

Don't forget to get your daily dose of potassium! There are lots of good sources besides bananas.
Potassium is a mineral with an atomic number of 19. That means it has 19 protons (and 19 electrons when neutral). It is important for cellular health. It helps your nerves, muscles, and heart to function properly.

1950s/1960s vintage atomic light switch cover. Cool 50s/60 retro amoeba shape. I think it was either Teak or Walnut. These were at an Estate Sale and I wanted these so BAD, but they were $11 each - and there was a bidding war for them, so I had to pass. Sorry for the super bad picture quality, it was taken with a cell phone camera.
Schylling tinplate wind-up Atomic Robot Man joins in the Monster MAYhem fun!
Uhmmm... yes, for the purposes of mayhem, robots count as monsters. As long as they are scary robots. Which is pretty much all robots.
Did'ja ever read the novel, "Before Tomorrowland," by Jeff Jensen and Brad Bird (and several other co-authors)? That's okay, nobody else has, either, other than myself and Syd. Anyway, I pictured the robot (oh, sorry, spoiler alert, there's a robot in the story) as looking more or less like this one.
Atomic Jam Band (Amsterdam, Netherlands - St. Petersburg, Russia) with the program "From Blues to Rock and Roll". The performance is accompanied by a rock and roll and blues choreography.
It was a pretty simplistic design. He’s based on the JLU version of Atomic Skull hailing from Earth-12 I just used parts from Doctor Phosphorus to make him
