The Lofoten Museum is situated in an idyllic spot by the water’s edge, on the site of the medieval town of Vágar. The impressive manor house was completed in 1815, when Caspar Lorch was the owner of the fishing village. Here he traded and exported fish, as well as renting out cabins to the fishermen who came to join the winter season. Discover the contrast between life in the manor house and the authentic «rorbu»-cabins.
