I can't imagine how many hours we played Asteroids, Missile Command (my favorite), Adventure, Combat,....and then there were the Activision games which were always a little cooler. Kaboom, Megamania, River Raid , and the best of all ....Pitfall. I don't remember playing these so much in the summer, we played outside a lot. However I remember playing till late at night, round after round after round.
