Der U-Bahnhof St.-Quirin-Platz ist architektonisch einzigartig und für die Münchner U-Bahn ebenso ungewöhnlich, da er zur Seite mit einem großen "Auge" hin zur Grünanlage "Am Hohen Weg" geöffnet ist und sich über ihr eine aufwendige muschelförmige Dachkonstruktion aus Glas wölbt. Der Bahnhof mit der aufwändigen Glaskonstruktion wurde vom U-Bahn-Referat unter Leitung von Paul Kramer in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ingenieurbüro Ulrich Elsner geplant, der Innenausbau vom Büro Hermann + Öttl. The underground station St.-Quirin-Platz is architecturally unique and just as unusual for Munich’s underground, as it is open to the side with a large “eye” towards the green area “Am Hohe Weg” and above it is an elaborate shell-shaped roof structure made of glass. The station with its elaborate glass construction was planned by the U-Bahn department headed by Paul Kramer in cooperation with the engineering office Ulrich Elsner, while the interior design was planned by Hermann + Öttl. Asymmetrical windows on a facade (on either side of the lines on the facade,i.e.).While on my way to dinner with my cousins last week I saw this building.I don't know anything about it,but when I looked up there it was,this massive steel facade staring right down at me.I quickly took shot of it and hurried to catch up with my cousins,who btt were almost at the next block waiting for me.They were not happy :-)

Stichworte zu der Seite, der Szene: Zinnober kracht gegen die Windschutzscheibe des Autos - Monolog "verliebter Geck" - spielt einen Schienensuizid vor (ScheinSchienensuizid). Die Szene spielt im Wald, daher nicht nur Zinnober sondern auch Grüntöne.

Another one from the archives. A slightly more abstract look to this one than my usual uploads. It's a 23 second exposure taken with my old camera using a 9 stop filter (Hoya ND400). The long focal length (200mm) makes the faint silhuoette of the Ailsa Craig look closer than it really is. I posted a similar shot in mono nearly a year ago but I've always had a soft spot for the kind of overprocessed colour version.

I was out for a walk with my camera on an unexpected local holiday and with nearby units closed, and therefore no cars parked in front, I got to see this scene a little differently.
Yes I am still avoiding people during the ongoing pandemic with my clinical vulnerability and I long for the day that it is safe for me to return to photographing what I love. Stay safe everyone.
