Took this through my 130mm Celestron Astromaster Newtonian Reflector using my Motorola G Stylus 2020 smart phone. Still working on technique, but for a no-stack photo this is pretty great. Some blue fringing on account of the cheap eyepiece. I need to buy a better high power one.

(If you want a fun time, compare Gustav Holst's "Mars" portion of The Planets to some of the music from Star Wars. It's pretty great!)

The Milky Way as seen from sea level silhouette near Tazacorte on the island of La Palma (Canary Islands) on Oct. 7, 2015. Moderate airglow (orange / gren haze) and iridium flares are visible (more apparent in the time-lapse). A time-lapse compilation will be posted shortly of all sequences taken in La Palma this past October.
