After reading the “Myself and My World” assignment, I had a difficult time trying to think of ways to express myself through photographs. I don’t get outside much, as I mostly spend my time with family, doing homework or volunteering. I try to spend as much time as I can with my family because they mean the world to me and they are the ones I can always count on. I love sitting and eating dinner with them while rooting for the Giants on T.V. I have recently just gotten into the whole baseball scene and love to watch the games whenever I get the chance to. On my days off from volunteering and doing homework, I like to relax and go to the movies on the weekends. I love to collect the ticket stubs from the movies and concerts I go to because it reminds me of who I was with, what the day was like and brings back lots of good memories. Animals have always been a big part of my life. My passion for animals started when I was young and has followed me into pursuing a career in Veterinary Technology. I feel that the photos titled “My cat, Holly” and “Wildlife Volunteer” really show who I am and what I live to do. Following this assignment, I was disappointed to see that my photos may have been off balanced, show too much background, or use the wrong lighting. However, overall, I would say that I am seeing improvement in my photos and hope to improve a lot more over time with more practice.
After some feedback, I've narrowed the image down to give some idea of the space with shapes, I'll experiment with different colors in those places to communicate a mood. I've also decided on the most important objects (we needed 3) to include, which is a difficult step for me. Making the choice of what's important has always been something I struggle with.

Reassemble the image using Photoshop. The goal is to recreate, as closely as possible, the original untorn image.
This assignment is from Vera School of Art and Design. My task was to create a concept of a picnic take away box for a picnic company, in which a certain type of food and drink would fit in. I created a picnic box for two persons (the one you can see above) and also a one-person box. My idea was to make it easier to carry the box if ordering picnic for several people, which often is the case. My concept was also that everything should be environmentally friendly. The box is made of recycled paper where the inside is covered with a thin layer CO2neutral bioplastic (the only detail that is not environmentally friendly), to protect the cardboard from liquids.
By selecting this piece I think I show my ability in creating models and that I can generate new concepts and ideas.

What does it mean to "Have A Nice Day!!!"? One might find it nice to engage in intellectual pursuits like reading the news; another might spend time with a friend (that's nice!). The man in the foreground rolls his wad of tobacco into a cigarette; and the one behind the sign ... well, his nice day should end with a nicer night!
Portraits.This assignment sorta kicked my ass, so I took shots of other things to finish off the roll.
For this assignment we were supposed to show detail and use interesting light (highlights vs. shadows) on something as inanimate as an egg so that we had complete control before practicing on human subjects. I feel like technically mine were okay, but I didn't get as creative as some of my classmates. We had to submit 20 photos overall.
