Here's something to brighten murky October days: a new photo assignment! I joined forces with two of my favorite people on Instagram, @gert_pauly, the heart and brain behind the recent #juergentellerassignment, and @jorgsengers . Because the JT assignment was so much fun we wanted to give it another go. The project is now called @thisaintartschool and we have 6 new tasks for the ... I was on a mission last Saturday taking photos for a catalogue. The customer was the company Clever Kids, they provide pre-school furniture and educational equipment. These are low-res preview files. I supplied all files as CMYK TIFFs with an alpha mask (and a clipping path... just in case) included.

For this photograph, I used an artificial light source. I experimented using different types of light sources, however, I found that this lantern worked best. It had three options of lighting but I chose to use the second, medium light option. I had the light set about a feet away in the top left direction, angled above the statue head. The feeling that is displayed comes off as a slightly intense, but serious mood.

Assignment 1: Climb a tree and take a photo.

For this photograph, I climbed a tree in discovery park and set up my camera using a bendable tripod mount. I climbed back down and used my phone as a remote shutter to take a photo of the view from the top of the tree.
"Bonita Bones" was an important member of the 2021 team, and her head made critical contributions to the dental training mission. She is now on permanent assignment to the science department of The Lion of Judah Academy. More about Bonita another time. But for now, thanks Bonita (and thanks also to Martha Deegan, who brought Bonita along from Connecticut!)

So for these shoot, i had to take for both last week and this week assignment. And for my project i decided to follow up with a continuation of a another shoot i had done a few years ago and that is shooting construction sites. I choose construction site because to me this is an everyday thing, however to many others it brand new. The way i shot these images were done in different angles and seeing the inside of different building before any of the walls were added. I went around and saw three different sites and worked there getting my images. Most of these are done in a abstract way because i want to show a different more artistic side to something most people take for granted. During my shoot the sun was going down so i had to play with the little light source i had to play with my ISO and Aperture as well. I was a bit of a challenge mainly because i wasnt able to take my camera inside these areas, so i had to wait until work shift was over and come in the night to get my images. I took over 119 photos but chose these 23 because these were my best for both week, plus i had a few over 13 images from some other days i had taken images but i felt these here were my stronger ones.
