It felt like a full assault on the mountain as the seven of us made our way under the cover of darkness to Mt Cook. As we took our positions around the lake the sky lite up with brillant pinks, yellows and orange. It was an amazing sight to behold.

Not a fan is ISO 1000 for landscape shooting, generally speaking, but a basic schoolboy error this morning meant every shot was taken at this speed. Doh! Anyways, thanks goodness for modern day sensors!
Coal loads grind upgrade into Austin, MT after having a helper set of 4 MRL ACe's added in the middle of the train just down the line in Helena. This uphill stretch of railroad continues for miles through Mullan Pass, and heavy westbounds necessitate additional assistance to complete the assault on Mullan.

Seemingly I felt a need for some drama when looking for a capture to convert it from colour to monochrome. I decided to work on this photo of Eloise (the Osprey) enduring a fierce attack by a Whistling Kite.

Aquatic assault stormtroopers, also known as seatroopers or aquatic troopers, were a specialized branch of the Imperial stormtroopers. They were used by the Galactic Empire to maintain a presence on the many aquatic worlds under its rule. It is unknown if they had any ties to the aquatic Imperial navy.

AR #300 heads light into the town of Raeford, North Carolina minutes before tying up in front of the A&R depot. #300, the railroad's sole GP18, was built for the Aberdeen and Rockfish in 1963.
As hard as you may think it is, building curves on this scale is actually pretty easy! I know it doesn't look like much, but at this rate I could finish this section within two months.
Several units with grenade bags and wire cutters gather to be photographed. The group includes several jagers and the black ink spot may identify the likely owner.
After three weeks of nothing, I give you the first WIP of the assault carrier that actually shows progress on the exterior. It wasn't easy (curves are hard), but it's comin' along quite nicely :)

It was brutal....
But eventually the mangled and bruised peppercorn made it to the top of the pile of coarse salt.
