This somewhat adolescent encounter with a small company in Marina del Rey gave me the opportunity to reconcile with ASP.NET Web Forms... I can't complain too much about the kid stuff: without such managerial immaturity I would not have been hired (to work with Web Forms) in the first place!

Using www.Telerik.com 's RadControls we have built editors that manage event scheduling for our Microsoft SQL Server database.
This database feeds not only our RadScheduler www.sldnug.net live calendar but also our in world 3D interactive calendars.

We developed a scheduling app that allows its agents to sign-up for training events througout the nation and via webcast.
An admin backend site was also built to manage all the events and registrations.
Built as an asp.net web application 4.0.
Collaborated with Red Shed Technology on this project.

Tomorrow I hit my quarter century. I have a rant in the making - something covering where I think I've fallen short and what I want for to achieve in the future, so stay tuned on the rantish location of my blog.
Spent the day fighting microsoft at work. Let me say this: ASP.NET will not last against the open source alternatives if they keep making web developers develop applications with the mentality of the infinitely more restrictive desktop application mentality. To the ASP.NET development team - fire yourselves, or at the very least remove any desktop application developers from your team and recruit from the creme de la creme of web app developers to learn the best ways to do this. You did it with XBOX, you're trying with ZUNE and you've got a head start with your iPhone competitor in that table of yours. Let's do the same to an area where you lag about a decade behind with your mixing of terms and use of x/html elements as control elements. Idiots.

On August 5,1949 about 6:00 PM, fifteen USDA Forest Service Smokejumpers and a Helena National Forest fire guard were entrapped by a wildfire in Mann Gulch that was caused by lightning struck treesoe. (map). Ten jumpers and the forest guard perished that evening, two jumpers died later from burn injuries and three jumpers survived.
