I cropped this one carefully, shooting for its mechanical nature and its greasy texture.
While stopped at a traffic light, I found myself next to a flatbed trailer carrying paving equipment. Hours of working with asphalt have given this machine its greasy blackened, reddened look.

Jeudi dernier, une sortie au Technoparc de Montréal, là où nos élus de divers paliers de gouvernements se renvoient la balle en essayant de trouver la faille dans la loi sur les milieux humides pour remblayer le tout pour en faire un ''eco campus'' avec de l'asphalte. Une vraie farce et honte en 2017. La bêtise humaine à son mieux. L'hypocrisie a un nom.
Félicitations à Joël Coutu qui se démène sans cesse face aux rapaces en habits trois pièces.
J'ai eu la chance de pouvoir embaucher un guide privé pour ma tournée au TM, son deuxième chez soi, son premier domicile étant fermé par Hydro Québec temporairement. Un honneur de me faire guider par mon ami Michel Paquin qui voit tout sait tout et qui va même te chercher les oiseaux ! Prochain coup j'apporte ma chaise longue Michel ?
An outing last Thursday at the Montreal Technoparc, where our elected members of different levels of government keep on searching a way to find a breach in the law in order to dry up these wetlands to build an ''eco campus'' with asphalt. A real joke and disgrace in 2017. Humans at their worst. Hypocrits have a name.
Congrats to Joël Coutu who is working very hard to stop these three piece suited raptors from succeeding.

The crew has just spotted eight loads of rock/gravel and pulls back out of the Atlantic Coast Asphalt spur on the Florida East Coast Railway. (Jacksonville, FL.)

Rain in late August is so very rare, yet here it is, washing the dust from the street, freshening the air, rinsing leaves and blossoms. Not enough to send more than a trickle down the gutters, but welcome just the same.
