This is the sheet metal Cad model of the full dribbler assembly. It is designed to mean that it could be used for both the striker (ultrasonic sensor above to sense the walls) and goalie (ultrasonic sensor setup to sense the ball). Once I had cut this out I realised that I could not do all of the close bends with the tools I had, so I decided to split off the parts and use it to make two mounts. Something I realised later was the fact that the dribbler wasn't at the right height also, it needs to be at 60cm off the ground to mean that there results in next to none back spin on the robot.
There is a solenoid mounted on the bottom to act as a kicker.
Day 2 of Gridlife at The Glen proved to be an exciting one as dirt and grip cars from around the world came to put on a show worthy of Watkins Glen International Speedway. WGI allowed racers to show off their skills with long straight-aways through a number of twists and turns making the track an obstacle all on its own.
