More likely left where it lay! Whilst the water levels are more evident in our reservoirs, the low levels are becoming more noticeable in our rivers. This tree remains doesn't appear to have sat in water for some time.
In 1890 the steamship Buenos Ayrean arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia having crossed the Atlantic from Ireland in eleven days and six hours. This group of passengers, including my grandfather, traveled onward by rail to the western U.S. on the Northern Pacific Railroad.

This long exposure image shows the ocean water pounding the beach at Jokulsar Lagoon, Iceland. In the process the remnants of once large icebergs are carried up onto the beach. The small chunks of floating ice, which are referred to as growlers, extend above the water surface by about 1 meter (3 feet). They get their name from the growling sound of trapped air that escapes from icebergs as they melt.
Waves crash ashore along a rocky section of the coast near Pescadero. I need a little coastal influence this morning to calm my nerves. Election days have become rough propositions that expose a lot of raw nerves throughout the country.

This is the beach at Newquay in Cornwall about 8.00pm in the evening taken from the cliff edge looking down to the waters edge, the evening light and colours were fabulous!
