CP H08 traverses the ice and fog filled landscape on their slow eastward climb towards Havelock at Ashburn, ON

CSX Y135 starts down the ex-GTW with an SD40-2 pair that has been rotating around on transfers out of Barr Yard earlier this winter. They are about to cross the ex-Wabash at Ashburn as yet another snowstorm rolls in.

CN L503 is about to cross the Wabash at Ashburn after departing Clearing Yard behind a KCS leader.

Southwest Service train no.815 breezes through the residential neighbourhood of Ashburn with a F40PHM 203 up front. From departing Union Station, SWS trains use NS rails fourty miles southwest to Manhattan, IL, the end of steel on the original Wabash route to St Louis.

The road into our valley has been closed for construction. They opened half of it and I took this from the closed portion. Three cop cars with flashing lights surrounded me as I took this. They let me go without a fine but said someone called me in. Who calls the cops on someone taking a photo?
