190825: No joke. A cyclist passed by on the opposite side on a very narrow bike path and made no effort to get out of the way. I kindly pointed out to him that he was driving on the wrong side, and he yells at me immediately: "SHUT UP, YOU CUNT!" I had to laugh because it was so over the top.
Right Side: I was alone in training and asked the coach to do some stabilization exercises.

190825: Kein Witz. So ein Typ kam mir auf einem sehr schmalen Radweg als Geisterfahrer entgegen und machte keine Anstalten, auszuweichen. Ich wies ihn freundlich darauf hin, dass er auf der falschen Seite fahren würde, und er brüllt mich umgehend an: "HALT DIE FRESSE, DU FOTZE!" Ich musste lachen, weil es so drüber war.
Rechte Seite: Ich war alleine beim Training und bat den Trainer darum, dass wir ein paar Stabi-Übungen machen.

the book of ruins...featured in my book Collage unleashed. the journal is a series of five signatures sewn together with my trademark funky macrame stitches with strands of beads hanging from the spine. The acrylic tags are collaged with images and my drawing.

RIGHT: close up of one of my art quilt journals with a macrame spine. TURQOISE waxed polyester is my cord of choice to bind most of my journals.
LEFT: simple bindings can be beautiful too. freestyle flowers stitched onto the fabric collage covers then stitched to the signatures.

this was a painting I created in 2006 from an old large desk sized calendar. I collaged over the top, then painted over the collage. I ended up cutting the painting apart to create a few journal covers. this picture is the detail of the eyes. Notice the left eye..there is a girl collaged as the eyeball :)
the turquoise print is done with paint on a circular needlepoint canvas then stamped to the background. Once the paint dried, I wrote over the top with a red sharpie.

the manila folder was a clean up paper for my brushes.once dry I scribbled circles and marks with my favorite pens. The white lines are created with a white out correction pen.
I love to use painted fabric in my art journals for pages and patchwork collage. this muslin was painted with Tulip Soft fabric paints and Golden fluid acrylics. The turquoise circles are created by painting through sequin waste. The red is stamped with the lid of bottle dipped into paint.

190721: Last weekend we were at the flea market in Preetz, and I could not pass the perpetual teakwood calendar. I watched a funny situation: A little boy let his yellow squeak duck swim in the small channel in Preetz and ran with joy side by side. A dog saw the duck and almost broke free - he wanted to catch the duck! After the flea market we were at the Preetz Priory - the most impressive for me was the 400-500-year-old oak!

190721: Letztes Wochenende waren wir auf dem Flohmarkt in Preetz, und ich konnte an dem ewigen Kalender aus Teakholz nicht vorbei. Ich habe eine lustige Situation beobacht: Ein kleiner Junge ließ seine gelbe Quietscheente in dem kleinen Kanal in Preetz schwimmen und lief freudestrahlend nebenher. Ein Hund sah die Ente und riss sich fast los – er wollte sie fangen. Nach dem Flohmarkt waren wir auf dem Klostergelände – am beeindruckendsten fand ich die 400-500-jährige Eiche!

a page in my art journal:
paint the background with red & turquoise. let dry.
write the word LOVE & draw flowers with a chisel tip sharpie.
draw rectangles with a white out correction pen.
add marks with a SAKURA solid paint marker
scribble doodles and write with TULIP SLICK dimensional paint around the edge of page.

190717: I had an appointment with @reginasielk to watch the demonstration of @gris030.de at Hugo Hamann together. What can I say? We had a great afternoon and laughed a lot. Gris has drawn me a frame with the request "DRAW SOMETHING!" painted in my Moleskine. I gladly accepted the request.

190717: Ich hatte mich mit @reginasielk verabredet, um uns gemeinsam die Vorführung von @gris030.de bei Hugo Hamann anzugucken. Was soll ich sagen? Wir hatten einen tollen Nachmittag und haben viel gelacht.
Gris hat mir einen Rahmen mit der Aufforderung "Mal doch mal" in mein Moleskine gemalt gezeichnet. Der Aufforderung bin ich sehr gerne nachgekommen.

fusion DYED collage basic technique:
cut dyed paper towels and other collage papers like b&w photocopies.
BRUSH on layer of Collage Pauge onto surface. place collage piece then brush another layer over the top to seal. Continue to add collage pieces brushing Collage Pauge onto each layer. Seal with a final layer of CP over entire collage. Collage Pauge dries clear, without lines and has no odor. It's perfect for art journal pages because it doesn't dry sticky.
