Apologies for the inadequate title and description; the subject matter truly deserves better.
During this time

According to legend, stones with natural holes through them can be used to see into faerie. With a few carefully placed modifications (brass only, no iron), one can view into specific parts of faerie. This example of the type is broken, however, and shows only snow. Sad faeries in snow.
June 18, 2017 - The Xi'an Museum was opened in to the public on May 18, 2007 which happened to be World Museum Day. "The architectural design of the museum follows the traditional Chinese concept of the universe - a round heaven and a square earth. It has been recognized as one of the ten landmark buildings of the city and offers excellent facilities for the display of precious cultural relics thereby ensuring their full appreciation". I found this while digging through some old stationery files. This is a self-portrait made when I was first learning Aldus Freehand, and I used it on business cards and other stationery.
Fast forward to now, trying to open this in illustrator, this is the best it can render: rasterized & extremely low resolution. le sigh.
This was in the British Museum's Wellcome Trust exhibition about how different cultures deal with death and disease. I think this was from Indonesia but my memory is a little hazy now

Photo of some of the collections at the St. Louis Science Center.
The collections are remnants of when the museum started at a Natural History and Science Museum. They are now stored in a non-public site and used occasionally for displays.

Celt or axe head. This side has no groove I think this was found on the farm my father grew up on in Madison Co. Illilnois.
