Actually this is some form of inflatable miniature plagiarism of the Guggenheim Museum in New York built by some Viennese art collective, serving as a performance venue.

This is a multiple exposure piece taken from MOMA. In one exposure, there is a room filled with bullet balloons, symbolizing a brief relief of pain. These balloons float around and linger. Sometimes, they know you are calling their name. Other times, they are stand offish and stay by themselves in the corner. As in the case of the art by Félix González-Torres, the installation is interactive and the second exposure features a photographer who had his lens pointed in my direction holding a Magic Bullet. This piece is by General Idea, a Canadian art collective. Two of the artists died of AIDS in 1994. Such a sadness.

This is a proclamation of this artist in Holesovice part of Prague. I suspect a new building is now constructed on this site, just to proof his/ her argument. I often wonder about the anguish of an artist when their work is defaced or even bulldozer as part of the changing city. This year 40 large paintings (4' x 8') were destroyed in my neighbourhood. I talked several times to artist who would come, even in winter, to create these public canvases.

Meaning KOPFKINO:
Literally: head cinema.
Playing out an entire scenario in your head.
For example, when someone tells you a story and you visualize it.
In the negative sense we come up with all kinds of disaster scenarios for everything that could go wrong. In the positive sense they are beautiful daydreams.
First to be seen in SL in Gallery 2 at the end of the main road at Elven Falls Art Collective. Taxi:

Words like violence
Break the silence
Come crashing in
Into my little world
Painful to me
Pierce right through me
Can't you understand
Oh my little girl
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm
Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Words are meaningless
And forgettable
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm

Anonymouse is an anonymous Swedish art collective that is behind installations in Sweden. They build miniature landscapes for mice and set out in public. Their first work was the restuarant "Il Topolino", which appeared on Bergsgatan in Malmö in December 2016. [1] [2] [3] It was destroyed a few weeks later. [4] In April 2017, they created a small amusement park that was set out on Södra Förstadsgatan. [5] After that, two stores and a mack in Borås were opened.

Studio Drift is an art collective formed by Lonneke Gordijb, born in 1980 in Alkmaar, The Netherlands, and Ralph Nauto, born in 1978 in Swindon, United Kingdom. They live and work in Amsterdam. They are known internationally for the creation of interactive sculptures and installations that combine the world of nature and man, through the clever use of technology and craftsmanship, creating works with great visual impact.
After they both graduated in Design in 2005, Studio Drift has been active since 2007, when Lonneke and Ralph opened a space in Amsterdam. Studio Drift is inspired, as a starting point, by elements that occur in nature and then reformulate the concepts from which they draw inspiration into the philosophical and artistic realms; to do this they integrate different technologies and cutting-edge techniques. Each work they realize is exciting for the viewer who, because of the personal interaction with the surroundings, can be read through different filters and multiple levels. Through a sustainable artistic and scientific research, these artists use the help of numerous experts, scientists and researchers. In 20 Steps (2015), for example, is a kinetic installation that consists of 20 glass wings in continuous movement; it is a tribute to the human desire to be able to fly, despite the force of gravity. Their works are present in important international institutions such as: Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Louis Vuitton collection; and The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. Studio Drift has won numerous prizes, including International Design Prize ‘Lights of the future’, German Design Council (2006); Moet Hennessy – Pavilion of Art and Design London Prize (2010); The best piece of Arte Laguna (2014), Venice; and Dutch Design Awards (2015).

Happy Smile on Saturday!
After saying on one of Andrew's fabulous street art photos that I wished I lived near a city with street art, I went into Southampton for the Hares of Hampshire art trail and actually found three pieces of wall art. This one by Elno Art I thought perfect for Definitely Dreaming's theme of brightly coloured.
From Elno Art's website: Elena Gonzalez Nieto also known as ELNO, is a Spanish visual artist based in London since 2014. Covering a broad range of artistic styles & techniques, Street Artist, Illustrator / Painter and co-founder of the Wom Collective, a female street art collective that puts great emphasis on empowering Women & Connecting and inspiring communities through art. Curating various events, exhibitions & paint jams that all put great focus on sharing and inspiring the community.
Her style has evolved & developed from a multitude of background influences ranging from living experiences in European Cities such as Paris & Barcelona, working experiences within the theatre / Film industry to her interest in self development, spirituality and the natural world

Rebirth
Since ancient times, humans have been dreamers, storytellers and innovators. Civilizations have come and gone, and all the while Nature has been a constant. Animals, plants, oceans and skies have thrived: co-existing and interconnected. As bears are to fish, fish are to plankton, plankton is to water, water is to life, we are all connected.
As the wild and wise elephants, who use infrasound and seismic communication over long distances, who practice ritual and mourn their loved ones when they have passed, we shall remember this journey and work together for a better tomorrow.
As the skies celebrate the flight of birds, we shall respect our air.
And with the dignity of a tiger, we shall protect these lands, and have the courage to dream and innovate for a healthier and thriving world. We shall tell the story of Mother Earth’s beauty and how we changed our ways to help her flourish once more.
I love this photo I took at the Melbourne Street Art Collective meet last weekend. It's a photo of a young artist Lisa (@88elle.studios) working on one of the pieces of hers she installed on the gallery wall. I love the juxtaposition of "an artist at work" with the words on the wall behind (The Earth Without Art is Just Eh).
Being a part of a group like the Melbourne Street Art Collective is one of my favourite things. Creative people are special and this group is full of them.

Female Astronaut
Renowned art collective Innerfields has created their first mural in Asia for the 2023 HKwalls festival. The mural, featuring daisies and a woman in an astronaut suit, explores the impact of technology on human behaviour and society, with the character fully immersed in her virtual world. In counterplay with this idea, a bird is painted to represent nature and offers a possible connection to the physical world.
This colourful mural was completed by the artists of Essencia Art Collective, for the Underpass Program (an offshoot of StreetARToronto). The murals depict Corktown's history on the pillars of the Adelaide Underpass.

Disrupting the hierarchy between art and fashion, Jarrell’s wearable artworks merge Black liberation politics and art. After producing her debut collection in 1963, Jarrell went on to cofound the influential art collective AFRICOBRA (African Commune of Bad Relevant Artists) in 1968. Aesthetic experimentation informs ideas of cultural revolution in this conceptual garment.

As part of existing in an artist community, I often feel the need to support and document the work of other artists. I saw this performer a couple of weeks ago as part of an art collective called MANA that sponsors Chicago based performers. There was some traditional Japanese elements of dance and music here but I liked this modern experimental element of a swinging cube emitting sounds on stage....read more about this performer here:
