I was set to crop this photo, and may yet, but when I uploaded it and saw the enlargement, I noticed the graffiti on the left, which went unnoticed as I shot the picture because my eye was seduced by the amazing "art-chitecture." A note about the legend on the pillar: Andrea is usually a man's name in Italy.

I had the opportunity to stand on the stage in the beautiful Stavanger concert hall. They even played the organ behind me when I took the photo!

The organ, with its 4554 pipes, was built by Ryde & Berg, Fredrikstad. The facade was designed by architect Ulf Oldæus.

The orchestra hall is named after the composer Fartein Valen. It is specially designed for acoustic music and will become the new home of Stavanger Symphony Orchestra.

The hall can hold an audience of 1500 in the stalls, the 3 balconies and the choir area.
