The RAF Red Arrows aerobatic display team have this week been undertaking practice displays close to their home base at RAF Scampton. Here they were practicing over RAF syerston which is near to Newark Nottinghamshire.

The red arrows doing what comes naturally

NJT Arrow III no. 1491 (GE, 1977-1978) is leading train 3727 through Linden Station in the early evening as the sun begins to set. Also visible here is an Amtrak platform gondola, which is positioned on Track 1 allowing trains to board from the express track while maintenance work is being performed.

No idea what it originally was, but a giant arrow will always get my attention.

The Red Arrows were performing one of their legendary flypasts at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta today!

I watched from a distance on the Downs with hundreds of other people as the traffic to Ashton Court where the Fiesta is held was crazy!

This resulted in substandard photos but I'm sort of happy with this one!
