I love the Red Arrows and will never tire of seeing them! Couldn't go up church tower to watch this year so climbed a haystack in middle of a field instead. It was Amazing! They were directly overhead and the noise was deafening!

I ran 13.1 miles, from newcastle then trundled an extra mile to get my camera to get this pic. Unfortunately took longer to get to my car than i thought so missed most of their performance.

On the 1st April 2014 The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team (RAFAT) The Red Arrows land at Royal Air Force (RAF) Akrotiri in Cyprus. This marks the start of the teams "Exercise Springhawk", a two month detachment to RAF Akrotiri. The purpose of the exercise is for the team to continue training in order to get their display to the highest standard before it was flown in front of the public during the summer display season. RAFAT traditionally travel to Cyprus because the weather conditions are perfect for flying, and RAF Akrotiri provides many different display sites for them to practice at. At the end of the detachment the team will display in front of The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) in order to pass a Public Display Authority (PDA). At this point the pilots will wear their famous red suits and the display season will begin.

I got to meet Alphonsus Cassell, a.k.a. Arrow, the king of Soca music. He was gracious enough to autograph one of his CD's for me, so we danced to Hot Hot Hot the rest of the trip.
