Op 26 Januari 2020 passeert de Arriva 10347 de fotograaf in Groningen als deze net het station heeft verlaten als stoptrein 37440 onderweg richting Leeuwarden.
Doordat er 2 GTW stellen van de consessie Noordelijke nevenlijnen langere tijd buiten dienst zijn door aanrijdingen, en binnenkort de huidige stellen gereviseerd gaan worden zijn er tijdelijk 2 stellen uit de Achterhoek gehaald voor versterking. Omdat deze treinstellen niet beschikken over een toilet worden deze in een vaste omloop ingezet tussen Leeuwarden en Harlingen haven. Op 26 Augustus 2019, de 1e dag van de inzet in het Noorden verlaten de 10366 + 10254 Dronryp als deze onderweg zijn als stoptrein 37245 vanuit Leeuwarden naar Harlingen haven.

In de vroege ochtend van 20-4-2020 passeert om 5.24 uur de Arriva 367 (Guus Hiddink) bij het opkomen van de zon bij Warken op weg naar Zutphen.
When Arriva commenced bus operations in the Netherlands in 1999, its opening fleet was made up entirely of standard Dutch types such as the Leyland-Verheul integral illustrated. Such vehicles were simply a stop-gap until deliveries of new types came on stream from British and continental builders.
Many of the older types continued to operate in their previous (predominantly yellow) liveries with Arriva logos and lettering until withdrawal. I don't know whether any LVs were repainted into the corporate livery illustrated. In any event, the particular vehicle on which this image is based was never a member of the Arriva fleet, but a former Westnederland bus which is now preserved at the Hague Transport Museum (02-Jan-11).

Seen here in Mallusk is this new Wrightbus bodied Volvo B5LH destined for Arriva Merseyside. It carries fleet number 4803.

This image could be considered as a logical but unlikely successor to the United version; or it could simply be accepted as a rather large dose of artistic licence. Perhaps similar ECW bodies might have been built on more conventional chassis, which might reasonably have had longer front-line service lives?
Love it or hate it, the Arriva livery certainly changes the character of many of the body style to which it is applied - and it has proved to be remarkable durable in an era where livery styles are continuously evolving. In de avond van 16 Februari 2020 staan de Arriva 10347, 10323 en 10320 van hun weekendrust te genieten in Leeuwarden. Vlak na de foto zal de 10347 voorgebracht worden naar spoor 2 om de stoptrein 37269 richting Harlingen Haven te rijden.

...how things have changed in upper Charles Street since the Paladin first visited on its scenic runs from Shrewsbury. Virtually all sign of retail - and other - activity has disappeared, the remnants boxed and stored awaiting, one presumes, eventual demolition along with the neighbouring bus station.

Voor een kleine reviesie moest op 26 Oktober 2016 Arriva GTW 10510 naar Stadler in Leeuwarden. Op de foto passeert het stel Steenwijk en heeft dan bijna de lange reis vanuit Dordrecht erop zitten.

A rather uncommon sight on route B13 are the 'standard' sized ENL Enviro200s, which as demonstrated here, don't have blinds for the route.
ENL9 loads up at the first stop towards New Eltham with only a piece of paper identifying the route.
The staple fare of the route are 9.8m Enviro200 MMCs.
