The Combined Array for Research in Millimeter-wave Astronomy (CARMA) was an astronomical instrument comprising 23 radio telescopes. These telescopes formed an astronomical interferometer where all the signals are combined in a purpose-built computer (a correlator) to produce high-resolution astronomical images. The telescopes ceased operation in April 2015 and were relocated to the Owens Valley Radio Observatory for storage.
"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
-Luke 12:27

Nostalgia today for Fathers' Day - My first car, as was the case for many, was a Leyland Mini. I was at the 30 Mini Years celebration at Silverstone in 1989 and a little of that flavour was present at Brands Hatch today with their Mini Festival.
Minis of all shapes and sizes(!) on parade, from the first rally cars, specials, classic racers and Russ Swift flinging cars about as he has been doing for 40 years.
There were only 2 differences really - I brought my wife and three kids with me this time, and didn't boil over on the way home!
