The impressive combination of G529, A81, X39, XR554, H1 and X41 lift a very late 9028 loaded Pacific National grain train from Piangil in Northern Victoria near the NSW border to Melbourne's Appleton Dock for unloading.
G529, A81 and X39 had been sent light engine from Melbourne to rescue the train as XR554 and X41 had failed, resulting in H1 being the only operational engine left.

A Brewtopian infantry squad breaks through enemy defensive lines with the aid of an X36 "Boilermaker" superheavy tank. The Boilermaker is the pinnacle of Brewtopian military technology, with a 4-track drive system and a highly advanced array of weapons, which include:
* the main gun, the M57 "Cerberus" triple rail gun, which can elevate to +30 degrees and depress to -2 degrees
* Two armored box missile launchers, each with a mix of AAMs and ATGMs.
* A pair of 90mm autocannons, mounted in ball turrets on the front of the hull.
* A pair of anti-personnel Gatling guns mounted on the forward tread bogies.
* Smoke dispensers mounted on the rear of the hull.
This build is meant to satisfy the DA4 "Armor" category. More pictures will be posted soon to demonstrate the tank's additional features, including the crew hatch, ammo hatch, and gun elevation.
gardens by the bay
Singapore Gardens by the Bay consists of three distinctive waterfront gardens – Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central, spanning a total of 101 hectares. They are set in the heart of Singapore’s new downtown Marina Bay, encircling the Marina Reservoir like a green necklace. The Gardens will complement the array of attractions around Marina Bay.
Gardens by the Bay is an integral part of a strategy by the Singapore government that further transforms Singapore from a ‘Garden City’ to a ‘City in a Garden’, in which the city is woven into a green and floral tapestry.Gardens by the bay.. This aims to raise the quality of life in Singapore with a more holistic and all-encompassing programme that enhances greenery and flora in the city. First announced to the public by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during the National Day Rally in August 2005, Gardens by the Bay will become Singapore’s premier urban outdoor recreation space, and a national icon.
An international competition for the design of the master plan was held in January 2006 to elicit the best designs for the Gardens. This attracted more than 70 entries submitted by 170 firms from 24 countries, from which two firms – Grant Associates and Gustafson Porter – were eventually awarded the master plan design for the Bay South and Bay East Gardens respectively.
The Gardens are being developed in phases. Bay South is currently being constructed and is slated to be completed by June 2012. Bay East has been developed as an interim park in support of the Youth Olympic Games 2010, and is scheduled to open to the public in late 2011 or early 2012. The full master plan implementation of Bay East and the development of Bay Central are part of the next phase of development.Gardens by the bay..

The Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA), at the Paul Wild Observatory, is an array of six 22-m antennas used for radio astronomy. It is located about 25 km west of the town of Narrabri in rural NSW (about 500 km north-west of Sydney). It is operated by CSIRO's Astronomy and Space Science division...
The "Compact Array'' is the premier instrument of its kind in the southern hemisphere. It operates 365-days per year, 24-hours per day. Its business is pure science. It is not used for any military activities.
This antennas work together using a technique called "interferometry'' which allows the antennas to mimic a much larger antenna. This gives the telescope the ability to see very fine detail. Effectively "radio interferometry'' works by replacing the lens of a conventional imaging system with sophisticated electronics, supercomputer-like hardware and complex software. Using this technique, a image of a small section of the sky can be formed in a 12-hour period. Whereas the Array uses six antennas spread over 6km, the same interferometry principles can be applied to antennas spread over a continent. For example, several times a year, the Array is used together with other radio telescopes spread across Australia (such as the Parkes antenna) to make images with extremely fine detail.
There is never a shortage of beautiful flowering plants to photograph on the grounds of the temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is a close-up of some of the summer flowers at the St. Louis Missouri Temple. The temple, every bit as beautiful as its flowers, is a prominent landmark in the city of Town and Country, a suburb of St. Louis, about 10 miles west of the city center, adjacent to Interstate 64, two miles west of the interchange of I-270.

Mission accomplished, Shane and Thomas 1, Solar arrays 1. With great teamwork and lots of help from inside the Station and ground teams on Earth we got the new solar arrays unfurled and connected. We came into a little snag halfway through the spacewalk when Shane's lights and camera came partly undone, but in a way it couldn't have been better timing as we had to wait for the sun to set before we could plug in the solar arrays. A little wire and some macgyver-thinking and we got Shane's lights shining in the right place again, in time before the sunset! The rest of the spacewalk was plane sailing with the unfurling of the beautiful IROSA and we even prepared the worksite for the second solar array to be installed. Shane and I were laughing when we got back to the airlock. Great to be back inside and out of the suit, now some rest. A third round is in the planning, to be continued...

Tonight the summit of Mauna Kea was cloaked in clouds, and none of the telescopes could observe. There were intermittent snow showers, and the road was closed to the public. After sitting around and doing nothing for most of the night, however, the clouds finally cleared, and we were able to open the telescope and observe for a couple hours. I walked over to the Submillimeter Array and set up a camera to shoot timelapse--this is one of the resulting still frames. A meteor conveniently graced the skies between the dishes.
This view shows several of the ALMA antennas and the central regions of the Milky Way above. In this wide field view, the zodiacal light is seen upper right and at lower left Mars is seen. Saturn is a bit higher in the sky towards the centre of the image.

The Duga 3 radar array in the abandoned Chernobyl zone. It is 150 m tall and wide as hell. It was designed to detect nuclear ballistic missiles and planes from the US.
I spent two days there. It was awesome. Abandoned for 31 years.

This bunker is a Radarbunker for Mammut Radar type Phased array, long-range Early warning radar Construction by the Luftwaffe .
The FuMG 41/42 Mammut was a long-range, phased array, early warning radar built by Germany in the latter days of World War II. Developed by the GEMA company, it consisted of six or eight Freya antenna arrays, switched together and coupled to two Freya devices. The arrays were fixed and the beam could be electronically steered on a 100° arc in front and behind the antenna, leaving 80° blind arcs on each side. It was the world's first phased array radar and was able to detect targets flying at an altitude of 8,000m at a range of 300km.
The British intelligence codename, "hoarding", was probably related to the shape of the large array. As late in the war as April 20th, 1945, intelligence reports reflected the erroneous opinion that only development prototypes existed but no operational stations had been fielded
