We had an absolute influx of Cape May warblers last week exhibiting a super wide array of colour variations. Here is another drab looking bird, which really contrasts against the bright yellow in the spring

Thanks for looking.

Monte Lagazuoi Piccolo, seen from the parking. Views from the top was really great :)

Monte Lagazuoi Piccolo is a peak located in the Dolomites with a height of 2,778 m above sea level. You can take the cable car from Passo Falzarego up to Lagazuoi and in a you will reach there the mountain hut Rifugio Lagazuoi, with the vewing terrace offering a spectacular view over an array of mountains towards the south and west. From the Rifugio Lagazuoi there is an easy path to the great viewpoint at the top of Piccolo Lagazuoi, where there is a cross that celebrates the victims of the World War I. Here you can admire some of the highest and most stunning Dolomite mountains: Tofana di Rozes, Cinque Torri, Marmolada, Piz Boe and Mount Civetta.

Monte Lagazuoi Piccolo oglądane z parkingu. Widoki z góry były naprawdę wspaniałe :)

Monte Lagazuoi Piccolo to szczyt leżący w Dolomitach o wysokości 2778 m n.p.m.

AAA batteries filmed from above. (Sorry they are not perfectly lined up. I gave up after knocking the whole thing over at least ten times!) Set up on a white light board below with warm light above.

Soloar Array Shadows - © 2024 – Robert N. Clinton (aka CyberShutterbug)

"The VERY LARGE ARRAY is one of the world's premier astronomical radio observatories, consists of 27 radio antennas in a Y-shaped configuration on the Plains of San Agustin fifty miles west of Socorro, New Mexico. Each antenna is 25 meters (82 feet) in diameter. The data from the antennas is combined electronically to give the resolution of an antenna 36km (22 miles) across, with the sensitivity of a dish 130 meters (422 feet) in diameter."

The Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail twists and turns its way through 186 miles of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in Britain.

From St Dogmaels in the north to Amroth in the south, the trail covers almost every kind of maritime landscape from rugged cliff tops and sheltered coves to wide-open beaches and winding estuaries.

Lying almost entirely within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Britain's only truly coastal National Park, the trail displays an array of coastal flowers and bird life, as well as evidence of human activity from Neolithic times to the present.

In its entirety the Coast Path represents a formidable physical challenge - its 35,000 feet of ascent and descent is said to be equivalent to climbing Everest, yet it can also be enjoyed in shorter sections, accessible to people of all ages and abilities, with the small coastal villages strung out along its length offering welcome breaks and added enjoyment.

A little closer...

The Very Large Array (VLA) is a radio astronomy observatory located some 50 miles (80 km) west of Socorro, New Mexico. The observatory consists of 27 independent antennae, each of which has a dish diameter of 25 meters (82 feet). Each antenna is found along the three arms of a track, shaped in a wye (or Y) -configuration, (each of which measures 21 km/13 miles long).

Reaching up into the sky these furry trees always call to me. They feel like the color of life, those rich and diverse shades of green. This is Indian land, Modoc, Klamath, and Yahooshkin once traveled this area. These trees had a very special meaning to them. "Time Immemorial" - In the old times we believed everything we needed to live was provided for us by our Creator in this rich land...
