...One day a Bloody and broken currier trooper reached the capital east gates this is the story he told:
My Lady this is a report from the Gleensburg Valley fortification complex!
the day before this and the day before that it was just an ordinary day, we had controlled border transports and taxed them according to our laws, we where just about to close the main gate for the night...
Then they where there all close to our fortification, Captain Beefheart panicked and pulled the portcullus, so a few of our guys where where outside, they were slaughtered by the hordes, then a bad thing was that because of the friendly peaceful times that have lasted for so long in this area, we were undermanned, since a lot of soldiers were "on leave" with the families and down the pub, something that Captain Beefheart often didn´t take very serious since, the barbarians were not as active these days as they had been in the past...
Then there was a second front, from the inside of the fort commandos had been hiding in the merchants and peasants charts and transports...
obviously no charts had been inspected as well as we should have, again Beefheart´s fault, he was far to slack on everything, that is what long lasting peace does to soldiers... I men non of us had seen blood for ages...
...so anyhow, now we were only a few crossbows and archers up above the gate, they Barbarians where organized this time fighting in squads, they even formed a shield-wall to block out arrows and bolts...
they were not behaving like before, my Lady you know, before if the killed a trooper they would pillage him directly sometimes smaller fights would erupt among themselves now they just kept moving in their units and formations...
...they fought almost like us, the collaborated amongst themselves...
...now ma´am I have almost no soul left and no blood left, I am asking for permission to pass out and taken to a bed, I will give a full report later, I am sorry we failed you ma´am, we.. we.. failed... we, fail...
the soldier passes out in front of Esmeralda.
Brought in to entertain the soldiers and as part of the funeral cerenomy after the ... could also be used as an extra support squad - if needed
The Thin Stripe Tribunes were of lower in rank than the broad tripe tribune, and were called the tribuni angusticlavii. These 'officer cadets' were men of equestrian rank who had military experience, and yet had no authority: they were allowed to sit on a court martial but they held no power in battle.

Bury’s famous Castle Armoury captured in high-contrast black and white.
The building is so named as it stands on the site once occupied by Bury Castle.
It was constructed in 1868 and extended in 1907.
The 5th Battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers was mobilised at the Castle Armoury in 1914 before setting out on a journey that would see them fighting at Gallipoli and on the Western Front.
The building is still in military use and serves as an Army Reserve centre.
It remains one of the towns most striking and best loved buildings.

"I was in Canada at the time of the bombing. My sister was in Beograd and we would often correspond over the phone. I remember hearing missiles in the background and air
rade sirens. She would be describing the occurances, sounds, fear in people, shelters etc. What sticks in my mind is the fact that NATO would notify the targets well ahead of time,
but the government officials would at time with old this information from people. In one such case, the NATO
notified the officials that the next target would be the BTV, the television station, alas, the people were
ordered to report to work, threatened with losing their jobs if they did not. This resulted in the death of several
journalists and television technicians. The greatest mistery must be the bombing of Chinese embassy which
in turn resulted in the feelings of great simpathy between the two nations. My home town of Nis suffered a lot, the town that singlehandedly ellected Milosevic, it's industry which
pretty much disroyed, there was also a stray missile which
exploded at the edge of the market I used to frequent while still living there. A few people selling their produce
from nearby villages lost their lives."

It's fairly common for the Cobra organisation to have regular executions. Especially spies and deserters don't have to count on any sympathy from the commanding officers......
I was walking through our local toy store and holding another Neo-Viper wich I wanted to buy to armybuild a few off these guys. The shop manager walked up to me and said: 'You're the guy who's buying up all these things aren't you? Tell you what, you can have everything for 8 euro's, so I'll be rid off the stuff. At first I said; 'well I'd be stuck with a lot off doubles, so thanks for the offer but no thanks'. But then I thought maybe some off you guys may like some off these, or maybe I can use them for customs. So I bought them, and I got the wristband thingie as a bonus :P
These Vipers are testing their skills on Cobra's rifle range. A Crimson Guard is following the progress to spot some potential recruits for their own regiments.
