Every time I view this picture, I'm moved by the construction of the helmet. When knights went into battle, I am guessing that it was better to appear as fierce as possible to one's enemies. However, the upturned portion of the opening does make me wonder if the knight was just happy to be there...or was trying to confuse people.
Originally a commission from a friend to make a picture of their DnD Character, who was supposed to be much like a Halo Universe ODST. So decided to go through SL with this process, drawing it is easy but motivation dies quickly. Enjoy folks!

Body armor, also known as body armour, personal armor or armour, or a suit or coat of armor, is protective clothing designed to absorb or deflect physical attacks. Historically used to protect military personnel, today it is also used by various types of police (riot police in particular), private security guards or bodyguards, and occasionally ordinary civilians. Today there are two main types: regular non-plated body armor for moderate to substantial protection, and hard-plate reinforced body armor for maximum protection, such as used by combat soldiers.
Plate armour is a historical type of personal body armour made from bronze, iron, or steel plates, culminating in the iconic suit of armour entirely encasing the wearer. Full plate steel armour developed in Europe during the Late Middle Ages, especially in the context of the Hundred Years' War, from the coat of plates worn over mail suits during the 14th century.
In Europe, plate armour reached its peak in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. The full suit of armour, also referred to as a panoply, is thus a feature of the very end of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period. Its popular association with the "medieval knight” is due to the specialised jousting armour which developed in the 16th century.
Full suits of Gothic plate armour were worn on the battlefields of the Burgundian and Italian Wars. The most heavily armoured troops of the period were heavy cavalry, such as the gendarmes and early cuirassiers, but the infantry troops of the Swiss mercenaries and the Landsknechts also took to wearing lighter suits of "three quarters" munition armour, leaving the lower legs unprotected.

Another cooperative armadillo. This one was foraging on our property. As I was reading about this species, which is the official state mammal of Texas, I read they are "cat-sized". This guy or gal would make normal domestic cat look pretty small. I'd say a fully grown one is more like the size of a Welsh Corgi. But, sadly, people don't see many fully grown ones because they tend to end up dead along highways. They have poor eyesight and forage mostly at dusk, nighttime and dawn along roadways. The dig for grubs and insects in the grass.

This doll is just glowing deboxed. Do not keep her in the box! Details are incredible. Metal armor is perfect.
She is inspired by the Alexander McQueen muse, Daphne Guinness and she wears a Thierry Mugler inspired robotic bodysuit and a Balenciaga inspired coat.
In my private dolly universe she is called Blaszanka and this is her new name :) Because there is a lot of metal accesories here.
This is my first attempt to capture her beauty just after deboxing. She is waiting for another photo shoot now.
Built for the Burgomeister "Armored Limousine" category of DA4, supporting General Farok. Main image meets the A&B criteria of a motorcade with two additional vehicles.
The "secret weapon" of this pimped out limo-tank is its hard rockin' stereo system that doubles as a sonic weapon. When it's not being used as a P.A. system to address the nation, or to play the dulcet tones of Ronnie James Dio, it is capable of incapacitating any would-be pursuers through its expansive frequency range. It is concealed by the rear trunk tailgate when not in use.
Another noticeable feature is its rooftop mounted drone, which can be deployed to scout the route ahead.
This is my first lego military vehicle, it’s not strictly based on any real life vehicle, but it takes inspiration from a couple. I might build some other variants/camo schemes in the future, but for now I’ve got a pretty big project in the works! I would really appreciate any feedback on this build, as it is a little out of my normal area of building. Thanks for viewing!
