All shots taken in Tucumcari, New Mexico (2 denver signs, the Aristocrat and the Satire Lounge thrown in to fill out the collage)! Tucumcari is a wealth of great signs, though... I want to take more time there in the future.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and friendship during my trip! We had a great time.

Following four prototypes in 1966, 145 production examples were built between 1970-73. Displaced by the ICE high-speed units from 1991, the class conintued in secondary service until 2003. A total of 17 BR103s escaped scrapping, with five units still operational.

Kasper, Scotish Terrier, father Muscle Power (USA), mother Long Beauty (Poland), born on Oct. 15, 1998, passed away on Nov. 18, 2009. He was one of my sister's and her family dogs.
He was an incredible dog with very sophisticated character. An intelligent individualist, very independent. He loved people, but did not tolerate other dogs. Except for one, Robin, who was his close friend. He was a fighter and often started fights. If needed, he would defend Robin.
Kasper enjoyed TV advertisements, especially ads with dogs. He watched them with passion :).
I dedicate this photo to my dear sister and her family.
What should a lady wear to an orgy - especially when she is the hostess?
My husband, Lord Lyndon, loves to see me dressed elegantly at the start of one of our famous "at home" parties. It thrills him to see me behave as the impeccably-mannered (and slightly snobby!) aristocrat and society lady - before the evening changes tempo, and the real business of the night unfolds !!!
Sir Harry Rakefield and Sir Henry Cobham came to stay last weekend, and brought with them a party of their slightly "Hooray Henry" friends. From choice, I prefer rather more diversity in my party guests, and this was provided by a selection of mentees from my charity for under-achieving young males in our district, as well as (speaking of under-achieving males) the entire first team squad of the Hampshire County Cricket Club. The Hampshire First Eleven, BTW, were informed that this was the very last party they would be invited to at Lyndon Towers, if they do not buck up their ideas next season!
Lady Virginia Colt, Lady Lucasta Goringe, Lade Penelope Stockbridge and Lady Octavia Wellington were the other Sodality Sisters present. We had fun!!
Lots of Love to all my Friends and Fans!

Requia's brother main concept wasn't going anywhere, so I decided to change it... Now he's a knight of sorts...?
Spent the day riding around on the Wisconsin Great Northern in "The Aristocrat." The car was owned by the Louisville & Nashville. Today, though, it was attached to the day's trips on the WGN running back and fourth from Trego to Green Lake near Springbrook and back. WGN pulled out some of the cars that were stored towards Springbrook a few days prior so some extra milage was added to the noon pizza train and the evening dinner train.
"Goodbye, Darling! I'm driving into town to meet Lord Fenning for lunch at The Garrick. He's planning to introduce me to a certain Mr Isaiah Cleveland - a Canadian gentleman from Vancouver, who is in London on business, and staying at Claridges. Later, I shall be having an intimate dinner with Mr Cleveland at his hotel, and then we'll be spending the night together in my little Mayfair apartment.... Mrs Danvers has all my instructions for dinner tonight, as I understand that you are having some local landowners over to discuss important financial matters about our estates management. Young Melling has tidied up the billiard room. I may meet up with one of my other lovers tomorrow, so I'll see you Tuesday evening for dinner!! Have fun while I am away, Darling! I won't forget to switch on the HD camera in the flat! And I'll tell you all about my naughty adventures when I get home!"

1932 Pierce-Arrow 54 Club Brougham
The venerable Pierce-Arrow marque had a long and impressive history prior to 1932, having manufactured some of the greatest motor cars of the Brass and Classic Eras. From its earliest days with conveyances like the Great-Arrow, as well as the 38, the 48, and the mighty 66, Pierce-Arrow was the choice of US presidents and America’s elite and was truly one of the world’s premier motor cars. Throughout the 1920s, the marque continued at the pinnacle of the American fine car market, along with Peerless and Packard, representing one of the legendary “Three Ps.”
The controversial merger of 1928 with Studebaker, driven by Pierce-Arrow’s acute need for cash to fund the development of new models, also provided the resources for a new and highly acclaimed eight-cylinder engine in 1929, finally breaking the marque’s long-standing reliance on six-cylinder power. However, as the infamous stock market crash and Great Depression loomed, Pierce-Arrow resolutely continued to focus on its luxury-car roots and its upscale, discerning clientele more than ever before.

The Clock Spirit Of Countess De Castiglione by Daniel Arrhakis (2020)

The Clock Spirit Of Countess De Castiglione
The Countess of Castiglione was obsessed with her own beauty, and meticulously art directed hundreds of portraits of herself over the course of her life.
But what History does not reveal is that in the countless poses and characters that she represented , there was a great mystery behind.
Virginia Oldoïni, Countess of Castiglione better known as La Castiglione, was born to an aristocratic family from La Spezia in 1837.
She was a 19th-century Italian aristocrat who achieved notoriety as a mistress of Emperor Napoleon III of France. She was also a significant figure in the early history of photography.
During her relationship with the French emperor in 1856 and 1857 he offered her a desk clock that he had brought from Switzerland when he was exiled during his youth in a Swiss castle.
The watch had a spider adorned with ruby and precious stones in one of the hands, which she soon adored, placing it on her own bedroom.
However after a few nights she began to have strange dreams in which she became different mythological figures and mysterious characters. She always woke up in the middle of the night with a ticking clock that seemed to echo voices around the house.
Strangely, those dreams gave her ideas to create different wardrobes and the opportunity to represent mysterious and dramatic characters. Over time it became an obsession that she could not resist and the ticking of the clock assumed itself as a strange voice that enticed her every night while she slept.
She looked at herself in the mirror every day, finding herself the most beautiful woman that God had created.
Her entrances attracted all eyes in the salons of the time and were the subject of great conversation.
Collaborating with a famous studio at the time, photographs were his escape from life from 1856 until almost practically his death in 1899. However, over the years the photos became increasingly strange and ghostly.
Virginia spent her declining years in an apartment in the Place Vendôme, where she had the rooms decorated in funeral black, the blinds kept drawn, and mirrors banished — apparently so she would not have to confront her advancing age and loss of beauty. She would only leave the apartment at night.
She died on November 28 of 1899 before the Great Universal Exposition of 1900. At her head of the bed was the old clock that the emperor had given but the gem-studded spider had disappeared ...

Well - I just met M. Duane Rollo Renaud for coffee at the famous Yreka Bakery, right on the harbourfront here in Monte Carlo. It was quite a revealing encounter!
Before the meeting, I was instructed by another intermediary - none other than Pancho Biddlecome - that there would be a call and response style password, to make absolutely sure that I was the real Lady Rebecca Lyndon - as M. Renaud had never met me before. The two-part password went like this:
M. Renaud: "Girl, bathing on Bikini, eyeing boy, finds boy eyeing bikini on bathing girl."
Lady Rebecca: "You can cage a swallow, can't you, but you can't swallow a cage, can you?"
After this solemn tomfoolery had been completed, Renaud explained that, although he works for the 'Radar' Private Detective Agency in Montreal, he had been hired in this case to represent the Wassamassaw Mining and Manufacturing Company - a wholly-owned subsidiary of my late husband's global business empire.
"You are the sole heir of your husband's vast fortune, Lady Rebecca, but your husband suspected that - in the event of his sudden death - his fortune would be tied up in probate and probably in legal challenges to his will, that might last a very long time. He therefore seeded very substantial funds within the Wassamassaw Mining and Manufacturing Company, of which you are the sole shareholder and Chief Executive. You may draw almost unlimited funds from the Wassamassaw Company, via a numbered account in Zurich, which is ultimately registered under the name of Edna Lala Lalande, a name which you must use from now on in any communications with me - or anyone else who is from the Wassamassaw Co., or who is representing it.
"Leaving aside the almost unthinkable wealth that you will eventually inherit from your husband, you are now an extremely wealthy widow. And I mean: extremely wealthy."
"That's very comforting news, Monsieur Renaud. Perhaps - with all this new wealth - I might now treat you to a crêpe suzette at the Café de Paris?"

Should I or shouldn’t I? That is: should I continue to practice my chosen profession, in my newly-widowed circumstances?
Does it look right for a grieving, recently-widowed Duchess to be seeing rich clients for expensive escort dates? Lord Belcher has advised me to lie low, but for the time being at least the intense questioning by the French and Monegasque Police has abated. They are suspicious of my behaviour just before my husband’s fatal flight, but there is no evidence to suggest my culpability beyond coincidental circumstances and a general disapproval of my “immoral” character.
Pancho Biddlecombe called to inform me that a certain Monsieur Duane Rollo Renaud of Montreal would be visiting Monaco shortly with important information about my late husband’s estate. “He may also have some other news for you” Pancho added, conspiratorially. In the meantime, we have held a solemn service in my husband’s memory in Monte Carlo’s Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate (the same church where I was married to Le Duc, less than six months ago!).
Lord Pollokshields – formerly known as Guerrotti the Scottie – has been sticking up for me in the British media. Lord Trembath denounced me in his Sunday newspaper column as “that disgraceful and perverted harlot, now also revealed as a suspected murderess”. Guerrotti took him to task on a late night TV show. “Don’t be so harsh and judgemental about a lovely lady who has just lost her beloved husband! I know Lady Rebecca very well, and she is the kindest and most gentle-hearted Madame and professional prostitute in the world! There is no way she could kill anybody!”
Toodle Pip! Chin up!
