If you've seen my previous shot then you'll know that inside that "tent" outside New Art Exchange is the artist Sokari Douglas Camp working on one of her pieces for The Big Draw (The Campaign For Drawing). She's using arc welding equipment on a piece of sheet metal to create an intricate drawing - a work of art.
I just liked the idea that in his own way this fella is creating his own "work of art" by using a heavy piece of industrial equipment to produce a perfectly smooth, neat edged pavement.

This new Master Arc robot features the longest arc welding arm currently in existence. The MA3100 has such a long reach it eliminates the need for tracks.
Two "Versatile Arc" VA1400 robots demonstrate their agility. Cutting-edge welding technology from Fronius and Miller Electric were also incorporated into this system.

This dual-robot demonstration features 7-axis VA1400 robots. The additional axis gives these Yaskawa Motoman robots CRAZY flexibility! They can work in high-density workcells while maintaining excellent welding posture.
I think it's slightly cliche'd, this kind of image, but for me it's a real thril to photograph ... just something i've always wanted to shoot!
