Today I spotted a very rare moth on the licence plate of our car.
After some research on the internet I found the following:
It is native to Uruguay and central Argentina and has been accidentally introduced to Europe, where it is spreading rapidly.
This butterfly normally lives in palmtrees, not a common tree in our region. One has been reported earlier (in 2006) from the Netherlands and there has been one record in 2002 from England, in West Sussex.

Archon apollinus, the false Apollo, is a species of butterfly belonging to the Parnassinae subfamily.
The species is found in Central and Eastern Europe and West Asia. They are found in Greece, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Israel and Lebanon

Es la primera mariposa que consigo fotografiar, no sé que tipo es ni como se llama, sé que aparecieron en mi patio un día dos, revoloteando y como tenía la ventana de la galería abierta entraron dentro,y se posaron en el poyete de la ventana y no se movieron, eran dos iguales y conseguí hacerles la foto.

The Archon is the strongest of all. It's heavy armor and large engines make it quick, deadly, and hard to kill. Unlike the other robots, the Archon has blue lighting to show its power.

Weaponry: General Dynamics dual munition S/LRM-4s, feat. smart live load, stealth baffling.

Powers: He is able to grow, as well as make shift his arms into a titanium metal form. Basically giant man and colossus mixed into one.
Backstory: Former weightlifting champion turned superhero, Tyrone has never been one to shy away from the spotlight. With Big Time being murdered recently by Hansel and Gretel, Titanic has become the "face" of the Archon organization. He was the first to initially join the team, as who better to have on the team in the public eye than an Olympic medalist?

Real Name: Peter Reynolds
Gender: Male
Powers: Has enhanced bone structure, so he's stronger, more agile, and faster than the regular human.
Backstory: As a child, the strength of Peter's legs were weaker than most of the other children. He still had a dream, of joining the CIA. While his physical capabilities were limited, his mind was brilliant, so they tested on him, adding cybernetics. Creating the perfect agent, that is devoted to them alone, making quick work of any enemy combatant. Their Paragon, that everyone strives to be. A new government funded superhero team, Archon, was being funded, and immediately, Peter was recruited to be one of the founding members of the main team. The team later turned into a fully sanctioned organization. The goals of Archon lineup with everything Peter believes in, so one could say he's a true believer of the cause.

Real Name: Osher Barton
Gender: Male
Powers: Vibration blasts. Hyper vibrate through walls. Sense vibrations, giving him a radar sense.
Backstory: Born in Newcastle, Australia, Osher's family would move to Cardinal City when he was fairly young. His powers would manifest a year or so later, when he would save his parents from an oncoming drunk driver. He realized he could become a hero with these powers, and spent years learning the extent of his newfound gift. However, some of his newfound "friends" would exploit his powers for their own gain. He went along with it, as making friends in a new country is already tough enough. Eventually, he would stop, but that led to his friendships ending. It was a tough time for Osher, but he managed to get through it. He would graduate, and move on to university. Years go by, before Archon is created, and Osher is invited to join the team. Unbeknownst to him, his mother's connections got him the job. Upon meeting his Archon teammate Brightstar for the first time, he developed a crush on her. Unfortunately this never really amounted to anything, as she never noticed him in that way. But still, he has hope. As Shockwave, along with the rest of Archon, he makes Cardinal City a safer place to live.

Real Name: Brianna Tully
Gender: Female
Powers: Flight, and being able to generate light blasts from her hands.
Backstory: Life was full of love growing up for Brianna, with her parents, and her brother. Unfortunately, all good things eventually come to an end. Her parents were murdered when she was only a teenager. She would eventually learn that her brother was behind their deaths, amongst many others. She would be put into the foster system, with the Tully's taking her in. Rightfully so, she never forgave her brother. He would later be broken out of prison along with thousands of other specials being locked up. In her heart, she had to redeem her family name, even if she wasn't going by it anymore. That's when she first became Brightstar. Because of what's happened with her past, she has a hard time trusting in other people, especially men. Eventually she would join Archon, and develop a close friendship with Big Time, being the only other girl on the team. Suffice to say, the loss of her years later would be quite devastating for Brianna.

Powers: Various aura's that give him different powers
Backstory: William grew up in a broken home, with his parents dabbling in all the different vices. Lust, wrath, greed, envy, sloth, pride, and gluttony. They were truly terrible people, with little regard to William's well being. They would lash out against William, as well as each other for the problems they had. Soon, William would hear the voices in his head, one telling him slay his demons, and to let him assume control. This was one many personalities that William would learn he has. As he was too scared to speak up for himself, William eventually would let this personality take control. This harbinger would give William's parents one last chance to stop, but of course, they responded by kicking him in the face. William didn't realize how lethal this outcome would be, as he could only watch as Tengu claimed his first victim. William promised to himself that he would be better than his parents. After the case was somehow thrown out, he would be taken by the Robertson family. For the first time in his life, he would feel love. More voices would start speaking out, as they vied for control. Sometimes, William was strong enough to hold them in, and other times, they would take control. He wouldn't learn of his abilities until he graduated from high school. A red aura, which surrounded his body, would allow him to lift things he couldn't beforehand, along with levitation. Upon graduating, he would get a job at Polaris Private Security, which is kind of surprising, considering they really only hire ex-military or ex-intelligence, as they would like to keep their spotless record. During one of his assignments, he would meet Alexandra Coburn. They got off on the wrong foot, with their differing viewpoints, but there was this spark that William couldn't explain. He would ask her out soon after, and she would say yes, even though she was skeptical. This skepticism faded with their first date, as they would go on a second one, third, and so on. He would propose a year later, to which she accepted. They would be happy, but for many, happiness is short lived. He would wake up one night to follow a bloodtrail, which led to Alexandra's corpse, dead on the kitchen table, just months away from their wedding. William learned that Tengu was the one behind it, and William's powers showed itself once again, as he smashed a nearby table. Tengu made a claim that she was in the way of their mission, but William was having nothing of it. He closed himself off from other people for a long time after this, as he would put all of himself into his work at Polaris Private Security, as well as suiting up as the hero Virtue. While Tengu was the main voice in his head, there were still others in Billy, Francis, and Willa (also known as the infamous villain Joyride).

These are the members of the Judgement branch of the Archon organization. It's members include Edge, Night Angel, and Hellfire. They deal with minor special threats, and stealth op missions, hence the black costumes. One of the more well known names they've taken into custody was Dr. Frostbyte before he got sprung from prison of course.

Real Name: Patrick
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Hero
Story: He was in the same academy as the man who would later become Trigger. Another sniper, but Patrick wanted actual power, like the super powered individuals throughout Cardinal City. Genetech came to him with a solution of sorts. They are a cutting edge research and development facility focused on human improvement. Experimenting on him with traces of Thrill and other products, he gained what he was searching for. He now had powers of teleportation, and while in the shadows, he is basically invisible. The catch, is that he has to keep taking Thrill to have access to these powers. He later joined up with the Judgement branch of the Archon organization, alongside Night Angel and Hellfire.

Real Name: Adrian
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Hero
Story: Adrian grew up with a joy of reading. His favourite being Night Angel, which would later become his superhero name. He loved seeing Night Angel saving lives, while bringing judgement to criminals. He would learn of his powers after he graduated from high school, and decided to become a hero. With his telekinetic abilities, he adopted the name Night Angel, and became a force for good. Unlike the character in the novel, he's mostly non lethal with his attacks, mostly to disarm, or to control the playing field. Doesn't see the point in killing his foes. After a few years of going at it solo, he decides to join the Judgement branch of Archon.
Alias: Hellfire
Name: Warren Paxton
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Hero
Story: As one of the marked, he was born with "markings", which for him was demonic like attributes, such as a tail, and red skin colour. He dedicated himself to proving that the Marked could be a force for good, and not monsters, in their short time on Earth. He would use his powers of Teleportation, and fire manipulation to save lives. He was the last of the three to join Judgement.
This is a completely new design for me: new lower torso/hips, new legs, and new upper torso techniques. The overall concept started and carried through with the arched bricks and sloped “head”, something that evokes a warrior angel.
I’ll be talking more about the Prelacy in the near future, but they are a very different faction from the Revenant Sisterhood. In short, the Sisterhood is a branch of the post-apocalyptic Faith that embraces and is empowered by the use of demonic tools against their enemies, whereas the Prelacy is a puritan sect. These differing philosophies show in their technological design. Whereas the Sisterhood has a gothic flourish, the Prelacy is pragmatic, bold, clean. And red!

If you've been following me on instagram (instagram.com/gothbricks2000) you'd see that I've finally been playing with BrickLink Studio, a digital LEGO building app. The Beta was initially roughed out in real life, completed to about 80% in Studio, then tweaked and perfected again in real life, particularly when it came to realistic factors like gravity, centre of mass, and strength. Overall a super fun process. I didn't think I'd be compelled by building digitally but its very quickly become at the very least one more tool in my toolbox.
Design Study: in Judeo-Christsian apocrypha, the angel Metatron was an immensely powerful celestial being, second only to God. I thought it was a fitting name for one of only two AIs that survived WW3 and the War Against Hell, the other being Archon.
Like Archon, Metatron was reprogrammed by the Prelacy Ascendant (after emerging from “Duckling mode”) to be a weapon of the Faith. It is cold, pure, mechanistic yet pious. I wanted these “personality” features to translate into its design: hard edged, no curves, purpose-built, robust.
My specific design influences on the mech side were the #battletech Fafnir and Raven. On the general tech side, I was inspired by the classic #aliens dropship and the #terminator HK. I knew it had to be a monotone grey, even though I’ve been using dark red highlights for the Prelacy to date. I like to think that as much as Metatron accepted its new directive, it refused to be decorated with such frivolous regalia.
I'm really proud of this build. The lighting by www.lightmybricks.com/ really brings it to life, and objectively I think it's my most advanced design. Much of this is in details that probably no one but myself will ever see, but such is the lot of the AFOL. :)

Fresh off the factory floor, here is Archon Gamma. This is the second build of my personal challenge to create mechs that are smaller than my usual scale, while maintaining all the detail and chunkiness that I love. Beta was about 1/2 scale while Gamma is about 2/3.
Everything is new, including leg and torso design techniques. I wanted to go super angular, and also went with old world American military colours. Torn on whether or not I’ll do it up in post-apocalypse Prelacy red. What do you think?

E' una farfalla di grosse dimensioni che vive e si riproduce su diversi generi di palme ornamentali. Originario del Sud America, dove vive su piante spontanee, questo lepidottero è arrivanto anche in Europa. Le larve scavano gallerie 7-8 cm di lunghezza nella parte apicale dello stipite causando, nei casi di forti attacchi, un evidente deperimento della chioma, talora associato a caratteristiche perforazioni seriali dei lembi fogliari.
It is a large butterfly that lives and reproduces on different kinds of ornamental palms. Originating from South America, where he lives on spontaneous plants, this moth is also coming to Europe. The larvae dig tunnels 7-8 cm long in the apical part of the jamb causing, in cases of strong attacks, a clear deterioration of the foliage, sometimes associated with characteristic serial perforations of the leaf flaps.

The Archon is a frame used by the secretive order known as "The Dissident". It is unique in that its arms are dual-weapons.
The VX-24 can use its fists to bludgeon enemies up close, or it may transform into its Barrage Mode, revealing its twin built-in "Voidstorm" multi-beam arrays, capable of burying a target with a hail of laser fire.
