On the side of the Mersey, complete with a couple of Liver Birds stretching their wings.

Up till this time it had been a grey and overcast day. Suddenly the skies cleared a bit and the early evening sun picked out these lovely old buildings beautifully.

The sun is sitting exactly at the point in the sky where I need to put shades on. Cool air brushes against my face. I hear the whirls of lone cars passing me by. A blue blanket hangs above me, its surface filled with intricate white crinkles. I reach into the deep pocket of my peacoat and pull out my cellphone. I take a picture so I can hold on to this moment of serenity. Life is beautiful.
