There are clear divides of opinion when it comes to Preston bus station, especially in the local area. There were plans to demolish it at one point, but English Heritage keep defending its heritage status. The building's at its best in the sunshine, but with Preston being famously grey, that's a rare occurrence.

Selection of Panya Clark Espinal as the public artist for Sheppard West Station (Downsview originally)

developed a piece called “Spin” which has been approved by the Sheppard West Station Art Design Review Committee (ADRC).

Artwork is integrated into glazing, terrazzo, ceramic wall tile, and aluminum ceiling finishes throughout the station in a collaborative effort by the artist and the architect. A brief description of the art concept in the artist’s words will be placed on a number of plaques throughout the station.

Panya describes the concept as follows:

“Spin offers viewers various opportunities throughout the station to visualize three imaginary circular brushstrokes floating within and beyond the architectural envelope they are occupying. Using anamorphic techniques, each view of the rings is depicted on the architectural surfaces such that when viewed from the point of ‘projection’ the rendered lines connect smoothly and crystallize as a unified geometry. When seen from other angles the various segments of the geometry fragment and the ring becomes unrecognizable. As we move through the station and descend to the lower levels we see the rings from different angles and pass through them, observing them deconstruct.” Extracted from Toronto Transit Commission"TTC" public documents

The stone chariot is an iconic monument which is located in front of Vijaya Vittala Temple in Hampi. The stone chariot was built around 16th century. The Vijayanagar empire impressed by similar stone chariot built in Sun temple of Konark and wanted to recreate similar one in Hampi.

One World Trade Center opened in 2014 replacing the Twin Towers. Designed by David Childs, @oneworldnyc , to me is striking architecture.

Up close, it’s mirrored surfaces shimmer and reflect everything around it. On the day of the shoot, there were blue skies which bounced off every facet of the tower, making the steel structure almost seem invisible against its backdrop of fluffy clouds.

Era da brivido. Mi ha fatto impressione. C’era una nebbiogena fine fine speciale. Vedevo questi alberi che andavano di qua in là in cerca della Luce…. spogli ora di foglie a causa del inverno. L’ho voluto interpretare nel mio tavolo usando, come no, materiali naturali. Da questo attimo il suo nome. F O R E S T
