You probably have noticed I don't publish very constantly. The reason behind it is really quite simple: time. There are periods of the year when I find more time to dedicate to photography, others when I don't touch the camera for weeks, maybe months. At the beginning of 2016 I thought about upgrading my gear; then I considered the expense. And I asked myself: is it worth it? I set myself a goal: if I manage to shoot the 10.000th I'll consider upgrading, if not it'd mean I couldn't find enough time and there's no point.
Months have passed, and in mid summer I thought it was not going to happen as I had a low point and stopped shooting for a while. I haven't really paid attention since then. Until last weekend. I was working on this one and realized the counter was 9.999. It got a grin out of me. Now, bring on the next 10.000.

Last weekend was pretty amazing I must admit. Unlike usual, I got out for a walk and brought the camera, not even thinking about it. A very simple concept was revived: curiosity. So here another lesson, and probably the most important that (unfortunately) sometimes gets forgotten: no matter what you do in life, you need to enjoy it.
Thanks everyone for your support and positive feedback, especially in the past few months and hitting the 1k followers, I am humbled. I probably won't touch the camera until 2017, so let me take this chance to reach out and wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, may you have a wonderful time with your dearests.
Thanks again everybody, see you in 2017!

Verticality Set (5/5)

Standing at the base of the Encore, I was captivated by the strong vertical lines disappearing into the dark sky. I composed this shot to emphasize the building's dramatic upward sweep, using the stark contrast of black and white to create a sense of power and monumentality in modern architecture.
Another from my evening (freezing) walkabout. Loving my new G9, although the grip is a bit too wide for my hands.

A minimalist architectural composition capturing the repeating rhythm of balconies and shadows. The play of light and geometry transforms the building facade into an abstract pattern, blurring the line between photography and graphic design. Calm tones and clean lines emphasize the modern and almost surreal character of the scene.
