A metal frame on top of a pier built on the waterfront. It's obviously not a roof (not a very good one at least) and not connected to anything. There is just no apparent purpose for it.

Adding a plane here adds a nice touch to the leading lines. I tried to make it real enough to not bother the eye but fake enough to make sure one can guess that the plane is an addition. It didn't prevent from comments telling me I was lucky to catch the plane and asking how long I waited... :-D

Beneath the arches of Blackfriars, London unveils another side of itself. Perfect lines, concrete and steel silence, symmetry that borders on the sacred — everything feels just right. Sometimes, all it takes is looking up for the city to begin whispering.

Amsterdam amazed me as much by its traditional architecture as by its modern one and all this in diverse and original ways.
A fascinating perspective on modern architecture - lines, light and shadow create an almost surreal depth. The interplay of geometry and structure is particularly intense in black and white.
