This is a snapshot I took during my holiday in Cracow which turned out to look quite cool (even though I didn't stop down and hence the handrail is not sharp). I really like such kind of minimalistic shots and I hope you like it too!

I went to see the exhibition “Behind Your Eyelids – Pipilotti Rist”, by the Swiss artist. However, I was somehow attracted by this staircase at the entrance, with its very simple design, yet combined with a touch of rawness.

Earlier this year, I hosted a workshop in Valencia and couldn't return home, due to snow in Ireland. I made a trip to Barcelona to meet up with friends for a few days and revisited this location. I photographed it back in 2009, it was always one of favourite photographs but I was intrigued how I might reshoot it with fresh eyes and equipment...
