An archway leads the path through the Umayyad palace (Amman, Jordan), dating from the first half of the 8th Century. Only a few years after its construction, a massive earthquake left the site uninhabitable

Safed old city, alley, 16th century architechture

Knowing this would be my last night in Chiang Mai, I went to the sunday night market. Again, lots of cool art (more artists showed up for this). There was a band playing some really trippy music (with a dijiridou). The food was off the charts! Mango with sticky rice, noodle soup, coconut water, fruit juice, I just kept eating. Then I stopped by the temple which has a really nice massage for 150 baht and it's legit. I got a shoulder and neck massage for the night and that was it.

The new , intruigingly designed, cancer research centre in Vancouver.

If you saw this building from the outside, you would never suspect it would look like this. Gorgeous architecture made a mess by decades of renovations.

The first two floors are used on a daily basis, the top two are mothballed. I get the feeling this building was disused entirely for a short period and only in the past years did they start to use the first floors again. Regardless, location is withheld. These are inside a fully active medical center in the middle of a very busy city.

A similar, less refined version of a photo I am using for the World Photography Competition. From halfway up St. Paul's dome.
