This is on my daughter's property in upstate NY. I visit there often. She has 17 acres for me to hike on and take pictures.
Plant a tree, today, April 29, is Arbor Day! 🌳🌲🌴
Arbor Day (or Arbour in some countries) is a secular day of observance in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Today, many countries observe such a holiday. Though usually observed in the spring, the date varies, depending on climate and suitable planting season.

The prehistoric monument of Arbor Low. It consists of a large circular earthwork mound and ditch surrounding an inner raised area with around 50 limestone blocks, all now fallen over. The site is often thought of as the 'Stonehenge' of the north.
I ran across this image in the archives over the weekend. I finally got a ground to doing a simple edit on in LR.
I shot this from the side of the road on a drive up to Forest Falls in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Rone - Time Exhibition. Flinders Street Station. The Arbor setting inside the grand Ballroom at the station. So beautifully done indeed and very attractive to all the people viewing the exhibition. Windows within windows! HWW
Today we celebrate the Arbor Day in Brazil. I hope we are able to preserve our natural resources so that future generations can continue to celebrate this day, otherwise all we will have will be memories...
The yellow blooming tree is a cambará - very typical at Pantanal (Gochnatia polymorpha).

E' una piccola antologia fotopoetica, stampata da LietoColle, una casa editrice specializzata in libri di poesia. La storia del libro è forse più bella del libro stesso, perché è una storia di condivisione totale. Un fotografo che mette immagini in rete, oltre 170 "poeti della rete" che scrivono quasi 300 poesie sulle foto, una giuria di altri poeti che sceglie le migliori e a sua volta scrive sulle immagini e poi tutto viene messo insieme e diventa un lungo racconto sull'albero. Insomma un libro 2.0

The diversity of fir and aspen color amazed me. In contrast with the maple and sweetgum oranges, reds and purples these trees are more subtle in shades of yellow and occasionally orange. Within a week, the color would be gone. A much quicker turning cycle than we see on the East Coast.
