Arashiyama Bamboo Forest was definitely alot shorter than I expected. haha. When I was on my way I already envisioned it to be real short. just not THAT short. :P looks cool still. and definitely looked better in the morning when theres no crowds. The traffic seems to be endless in the day and to top things off theres also cars driving through the tiny one way street. :D

We spent some days in Kyoto, Japan. Timing was perfect for Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing. Very early in the morning we went to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, located in the north-east of the city. This iconic place tends to get very busy with tourists, so it paid off going there early to take photos of the bamboo trees.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Production Diary — “Among Quiet Fields of Green”
Arashiyama Bamboo Forest was already packed early in the morning. With no clear shot of the path, I aimed above the branches, hoping to capture something clean.
Still, I took a few frames of the crowded trail — curious to explore advanced image cleanup with AI-assisted removal techniques. The chaos proved too complex for Photoshop’s generative tools; the golden grass and narrow path couldn’t be convincingly restored.
But thanks to tools like the Stable Diffusion model, I was finally able to reconstruct the scene — quiet, open, and closer to how I first imagined it.
