You don't get up at stupid o-clock in a foreign country to be alone at a scene, and then take just one image. This image is from Arashiyama in Kyoto Japan. I posted one version of the same view a while back, this is just another frame from that same shoot. A slightly different zoom, just a different feel. You can see the other one here. La foresta di bambù è uno dei luoghi rappresentativi di Kyoto. Durante il periodo Heian (794-1192), Arashiyama era la destinazione preferita dalla corte imperiale per quanto riguardava le passeggiate. Il paesaggio conserva tracce di quell’epoca e, tutt’oggi, è una delle mete preferite dai turisti.
This is a slightly different take than the typical Arashiyama bamboo image, though I shot that one too. This is a bend in the road (yes, this is an actual public street for cars) that is about a quarter mile from the more popular photo location behind where I shoot this from.
This has been said a hundred times, and if you are studying for a Japan trip you know this- the only way to get this without people is to be there before the sun comes up. So that's just what my son and I did. We got there about an hour before the sun came up. This was actually shot on our way out, the sun was still working its way up, but it cast this neat light around the bend in the road. I actually had to time this one right to get no people in the frame, because the tours were starting to show up at 6am.You can see the sun behind the trees there.

Arashiyama is a district on the western outskirts of Kyoto, Japan. It also refers to the mountain across the Ōi River, which forms a backdrop to the district. Arashiyama is a nationally designated Historic Site and Place of Scenic Beauty. Wikipedia
