Dhi Ain is an archaeological village located in Tihama, western Saudi Arabia, about 20 km from Al-Makhwah Governorate and 24 km from Al-Baha. It was founded in the tenth century AH and is more than 400 years old.
The village was built on top of a white mountain and is famous for the cultivation of bananas, lemons, peppers, basil and caddy, and handicrafts.
The village includes many houses, consisting of two to four floors, a small mosque, and many forts used to defend the village and watch.
The village is also among the ten sites approved by the Saudi government in November 2014 to ask UNESCO to include it on the World Heritage List in the coming years.
قرية ذي عين هي قرية أثرية تقع في تهامة غرب المملكة العربية السعودية، وتبعد 20 كيلومتراً تقريباً عن محافظة المخواة و24 كيلو متراً عن الباحة، ونشأت في القرن العاشر الهجري وعمرها يزيد على 400 سنة.
بنيت القرية على قمة جبل أبيض وتشتهر بزراعة الموز والليمون والفلفل والريحان والكادي، والصناعات اليدوية.
تضم القرية العديد من البيوت والمكونة من طابقين إلى أربعة طوابق ومسجداً صغيراً والعديد من الحصون المستخدمة للدفاع عن القرية والمراقبة.
القرية هي أيضاً ضمن عشر مواقع وافقت عليها الحكومة السعودية في نوفمبر 2014 لتطلب من اليونسكو ضمها إلى قائمة التراث العالمي في السنوات القادمة
De origen árabe y su nombre significa "castillo libre". Fue construida sobre una antigua puerta de carácter romano.
En sus origines, el conjunto actual estaba formado por dos torres separadas por un arco, pero en el siglo XIV fueron unidas por dos cuerpos semicirculares, adquiriendo entonces el aspecto macizo que ofrece en la actualidad. En su interior, actualmente se encuentra el museo de las tres culturas, islámica, judía y cristiana.
Se le atribuye un origen árabe y fue declarada monumento histórico de carácter local en 1971.
Forma parte del Escudo y de la Bandera oficial de la ciudad.

En esta foto se observa rodeada de los fumerales y respiraderos de las cuevas que la rodean.

In fact they are a series of rainwater tanks named after the mistress of Peter the Cruel.
They are located beneath the Patio del Crucero in the Alcázar of Seville.

A nice touch is the Indian warrior head on top of the radiator, which was a feature of buses built by Guy in the nineteen fifties.

Vestigios tartéssicos en el mirador de la Playa Santa María del Mar de Cádiz.
Tartessos o Tartéside (griego) fue el nombre por el que los griegos conocían a la que creyeron primera civilización de Occidente. Posible heredera del Bronce final atlántico, se desarrolló en el triángulo formado por las actuales provincias de Huelva, Sevilla y Cádiz, en la costa suroeste de la península ibérica, así como en la de Badajoz durante el Bronce tardío y la primera Edad del Hierro.
Se presume que tuvo por eje el río Tartessos, que pudo ser el que los romanos llamaron luego Betis (antes Oleum flumen = río de aceite) y los árabes Guadalquivir (del árabe الوادي_الكبير al-wādi al-kabīr, que significa río grande). Sin embargo, hay autores que la sitúan en la confluencia de las bocas del Odiel con el Tinto (ría de Huelva), puesto que bajo la propia ciudad onubense es sabido que se hallan sepultados importantes restos. Influyó sobre las tierras del interior y el Algarve portugués.
No faltan propuestas de una posible ubicación en las bocas del Guadiana o incluso en el Mar Menor, en el delta del Ebro o en el Tajo. Los tartesios desarrollaron presumiblemente una lengua y escritura distinta a la de los pueblos vecinos y, en su fase final, tuvieron influencias culturales de egipcios y fenicios.
