Daily App Experiment #161 "Cycled" - today's #appseriment was obviously inspired by Bike To Work Day. It's also a new twist on sort of an old process. I used Camera+ to rotate my photo 90 degrees, the ran it through #Decim8 multiple times. I ran those sideways-Decim8d images through #interlacer and saved that image. I then rotated it back to it's original orientation and Interlaced it with the original photo for the final image. It would be cool if Interlacer added a vertical blend option in the future. #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #313 "A Fresh Canvas" - I shot this at Occupy
Wall Street in NYC a few weeks ago. Considering the recent clearing up
of #OWS sites, it seems a perfect way to express the optimism I feel
for what the movement could bring. This is a chance for folks to
regroup, rethink, and focus on the issues that are important to them.
Hopefully they can make something beautiful. Process: I started by
running this image through various #autopainter and #autopainterII
settings, then used #diptic to interlace the images together into
vertical rows. I then used #juxtaposer to add foreground objects from
the original photo back on top of the diptic-paintings. As a final
step, I used #filterstorm to add parts of an overall canvas and
painting texture over the piece, to help make it feel more consistent.

Daily App Experiment #179 "Portrero" - I posted the original photo yesterday. For today's #appseriment I ran the original image through each of #SwankoLabs filters, then merged all of those images together using #interlacer. #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment 401: "A Temporary Offering" - created with the (not yet released) #popsicolor app. Then I used #imageblender to superimpose that image on top of a shadowy wall. #appseriment #daily_appsperiment
Daily App Experiment #209: "Improved Cocktail" - hung out with some friends at Dalva bar tonight. While watching the bartender mix our cocktails I decided to shoot with the #MagicShutter app because I could get some cool shots in low light. Got this shot while he opened the mini-fridge then post-processed it with Camera+. #appsperiment #daily_appseriment
Daily App Experiment #373 "It's the only way to live" - shot from the top of a nearby building, then I used #frontview to make it appear as if I was shooting directly down (the building was actually to the side). I then ran the image through #anticrop (twice) to make the cars keep repeating. #appsperiment #daily_appseriment
Daily App Experiment #306 "In the Shadow" Normally apps like #biglens would be used to make a foreground object pop out more, but I wanted to see what it would look like if I used it on an object that shouldn't technically stick out more than it's surrounding environment. So I in Big Lens, I selected this juggler's shadow as the area to remain in focus, while everything else got blurred out. #appseriment #daily_appsperiment
