My visa application for India turned out to be a right stressful thing - I posted it out, it came back, I ended up going to Birmingham to the visa application centre. It's now (hopefully) waiting for me at my workplace. Can't wait!

Letter of Application and Testimonials for Oliver J. Lodge for the Chair of Experimental Physics at University College, Liverpool, 1881
Lodge was Assistant-Professor of physics at University College, London when he applied for the post at the newly established University College at Liverpool. His letter of application gives details of his academic career and his plans to establish a laboratory at Liverpool, to inspire students with a love of the subject, and to develop a programme of evening classes, mentioning his own experience of studying in the evenings and stating that he ‘should be glad to help young men in like condition’
The application includes testimonials from colleagues at University College, London, and the British Association for the Advancement of Science, and from his friend and mentor, Professor G. F. Fitzgerald.
During his time at Liverpool, Lodge lectured on the ether and discovered the electrostatic condensation of fog. He also carried out experiments on the electromagnetic field, producing electromagnetic waves guided along wires using discharge from a Leyden jar in 1888 during work on lightening conductors.
He returned to experiments with radio waves in the 1890s and, with the help of Alexander Muirhead, gave the first public demonstration of radio telegraphy, using the method of signaling in Morse code via long and short pulses. He demonstrated his radio-wave receiver apparatus at the British Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Liverpool in 1896. Lodge also lectured on X-rays in Liverpool the same year

One of a selection of posters I created for Exeter Airport. The posters were to update on a previous campaign. I will be creating a number of posters in addition to these to keep momentum behind the safety initiative.
Zero Harm is the name given to Exeter Airport’s programme to develop and promote the airport's excellent safety record. Under the scheme the airport will ensure that it operates in a safe and secure manner with the constant involvement of all staff, its airlines and airport partners.
Exeter Airport is one of the first airports in the country to adopt a Zero Harm programme; meeting a set of standards and a committing to a forward thinking safety culture which eliminates any risk to people working at or travelling through the airport.
The Zero Harm programme involves leading and inspiring, simplifying systems, re-thinking processes, involving everyone and encouraging them to contribute, learning what works well and tracking the improvements.
The airport places huge importance on safety and the mitigation of risk and already works to Best Practice, but over the next three years the aim is to adopt Better Practices so that the airport is a safer place for all members of staff, partners and members of the public.
Launching the programme Jamie Christon, the airport’s Managing Director said: “Zero Harm is a wonderful vehicle for the constant promotion of a safety culture throughout the airport.
“We are one of a few airports to publically promote our continuing commitment to safety and it is the number one priority for our staff, customers and business partners.
“We are proud of our safety standards at Exeter Airport but we are not complaisant and we aim to ensure safety in our industry is discussed, reviewed and continually improved.
“There is a capacity for innovation, creativity and application and people in all areas will be involved, from those who work in our offices to those working alongside aircraft. We will also make safety personal to our staff and they will be encouraged to take the safety culture home.”
Active Closed Loop System
Closed Loop Solar Heating Systems are suitable for single and multiple solar heating application systems, e.g. domestic solar water heating, solar water heating hot tub, solar swimming pool heating or solar space heating systems. The Closed Loop Solar Systems are suitable for areas with questionable water quality and all climate conditions. The Closed Loop Solar Heating Systems are the preferred option for extremely cold areas.
Single Tark Solar System and Pump Controlled Swimming Pool System
1.When the temperature of heat collector rises, the controller will start the heat-collecting circulation pump, via temperature difference. And it transfers the heat to the tank through heat-changing coiled tube.
2.When the temperature of the tank reaches the preset digit, the controller will start heating circulation pump, and absorb the heat of the tank through heat-changing coil tubes. Then the controller transfers heat to the radiator to provide heat.
3.When the temperature of the tank is lower than the preset digit, the controlling system will start the electromagnetic change-over valve. Meanwhile, the auxiliary heating system will be started. And the circulation pump will trsnsfer the heat to the radiator.
4.This system can provide hot water for daily life.
5.This system can connect with the heating system of family swinming pool It not only can provide. energy for swimming pool in Spring, Summer and Autumn, but also increase the utilization.

Heatersare typically mounted along the perimeter of the space when applicable. Door areas are stacked with extra units, or tube heater burner boxes are located by doors to provide extra heat. Care is taken to avoid violating the published clearances to combustibles with doors in the open position and/or lifts (with cars on them) in the up position. Common applications also utilize tubes located between lift rows (center of the building) or along side a wall with the heat shined inward. Outside combustion air is highly recommended. Lastly, do not place any heater inside of a paint booth

Most of this stuff is from Paragon Machine Works, but the hourglass bosses I made on my manual lathe. All of this is for a highly customized 953 bike I'm building, and unfortunately nobody's making rack/fender bosses in stainless for the application I need. These were fairly quick to make, but still they add a bunch of work to a bike like this one. Still, they pale in comparison to the seatstay bridge on this bike. Stay tuned...
