Mit bis zu 450.000 Reisenden pro Tag ist der Hamburger Hauptbahnhof einer der meist frequentiertesten Personenbahnhöfe Deutschlands. Rund 720 Züge des Nah- und Fernverkehrs machen täglich Station an Hamburgs Haupt-Verkehrsknotenpunkt. Mit insgesamt acht Fernbahn-Gleisen sowie vier S-Bahn- und sechs U-Bahn-Gleisen für den Nahverkehr ist er aus der Hansestadt nicht mehr wegzudenken.

Im Dezember 1906 eröffnet, besitzt die mit über siebzig Metern Spannweite fassende Dachkonstruktion der Bahnsteighalle eine beeindruckende Architektur. Sie war die damals größte freitragende Bahnhofshalle Deutschlands und ist bis heute unerreicht. Zwei 45 Meter hohe Türme an den Seiten der Halle sind mit einer begehbaren Querung verbunden. Auch auf der gegenüberliegenden Hallenseite gibt es eine erhöhte Verbindung über den Gleisen.

The 2019 Festival of Flowers at Pioneer Courthouse Square, Portland. So many things were going on here, friends and families having food from the Food Carts around, children playing, musicians practicing, visitors like myself enjoying the vibe..... very lively! I just love the Trimet, transportation system bus, train & streetcar. People are very friendly. I love Portland! Yes!

I was given a cutting of this Geranium by one of Peter's friends. It is so unusual - it looks like a miniature rose. I hope it survives.
