Great idea. Maybe. Still not sure about 1024x768 resolution. And A-GPS only if you buy the $899 model? Ouch. And supposedly a processor as good as a Snapdragon 1Ghz? That's the same as a HTC HD2 cellphone.
For those of you who have been asking and waiting to see what my new toy is...
...it's the new Apple iPad! So glad my wife let me get one. People say it's just a big iPhone but it's way more than that. I guess you'll just have to get one to know what I'm talking about.

The chase was on!
We were not really expecting a Hornell turn that day. I had been told the train ran once a week and a turn had run the previous day. Dan was driving his Jeep while I was shotgun, navigating on my Apple iPad. This worked very well. On the iPad we could see little side roads that led to the tracks. The iPad's digital map showed us right where we were on the map in relation to the tracks and the access roads. Using e-mail on the iPad and my iPhone I was in virtual contact via a Yahoo group with other railfans who had been there before. We were able to discuss photo locations whith the remote foamers in close to real time. We were chasing a 1970's train with 2011 technology!
The Fall colors were screaming reds, golds, browns and yellows as we chased the Hornell Turn on it's journey toward the NS Southern Tier line in Hornell, NY.

What're you looking at here?
James Bond valued something not just for its appearance but also for its utility. My bag has that combination of looks and brains that would make Bond smile and raise an eyebrow, to shine at an embassy party or speed safely through a car chase.
A look at what can usually be found in my bag:
- Apple iPad 2 white & latest iPad (3) black
- old (MCMLXVI) bible

So, this is my every day travel kit. It is big enough to carry what I need. Possibly more importantly, it forces me to choose the things that I truly need in my daily kit and not the things that I might need. This bit of discipline is a good thing for me. My Ed Hardy Bag that is all about on what I need and not what I don’t.
Sounds like the perfect bag to bring out my inner secret agent...
