With apologies to the Carlsberg! [advert] Sorry your Honour! I was...... er... drunk when I wrote it, on ...... er...... Carsberg of course! Hic!

..........................................................................................................................

This litlle "building" was once a Petrol station that closed down in the 80s.

Its situated at the foot of the Great Sugarloaf mountain on the Roundwood road, at Kilmacanogue Co. Wicklow. It seems to now be used as a lorry parking spot by a local Haulier. What a place and the view is amazing! I wouldnt mind moving in there, though in Winter, the wind would cut you in two as it sweeps in from the West.

I took the photo early in the morning not long after sunrise and it was a beautiful day.

Its raining here this morning so Im stuck inside. Love to see some cheery photos from all, of you to lift the gloom!

Do have a great day and if you like give us a Fave!

Thanks my Flickr Friends!!!

Pat.

My photos are also on Flickr River as per link below;

Apologies to the squeamish!....this is a suture (joint) from a sheeps cranium (skull) seen on Sittaford Tor, Dartmoor. The iPhone was handheld, Olloclip macro @ 21x, Shoulderpod S1, Hisy remote, reverently tickled in Snapseed on iPhone. Title =Pink Floyd

Apologies if you spend the rest of the day humming a certain tune from Phantom of the Opera but I thought it was a fitting caption.

So sad that many of these beautiful birds and vast swathes of our precious moorland must now endure four months of being peppered with lead shot.

Taken in the Peak District on a grey, drizzly day a few months ago.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for leaving any comments or faves, they are very much appreciated.

Sakurajima (Japanese: 桜島, literally "Cherry blossom Island") is an active stratovolcano, formerly an island and now a peninsula, in Kagoshima Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan. The lava flows of the 1914 eruption connected it with the Ōsumi Peninsula. It is the most active volcano in Japan. - Wikipedia

some frostkissed autumn colours.

"Nature’s first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf’s a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay."

HSS, all!

Apologies for my absence of late , life gets in the way at times !

Apologies for not being present - hope to catch up soon. I've been working a lot of overtime, not allowing for enjoyable hobbies. I'm hoping we're getting close to the end of the project, and I can get more active again. Thank you all for the support in my absence!

Apologies for my slight obsession with photographing this weed

Apologies for yet another Robin shot but this one is just so friendly!

Thanks for all the lovely comments and faves and stay safe and well everyone.

Apologies to Steinbeck!

Apologies for the plethora of lighthouse and Stanlow images atm.

Not long after visiting Penmon recently I heard 'Love and Marriage' or more specifically the theme tune to the 80's American sitcom of the same name on YouTube. How the algorithm decided I wanted to watch it directly after watching a Gary Gough vlog I've no idea.

The line 'You can't have one without the other,' has been my unwanted earworm for several days and that for some reason made me think of lighthouse long exposures.

So to try and shift this earworm here is the second LE of the three lighthouses I visit fairly regularly.

Guess that means a Talacre long exposure next if this damn thing doesn't shift soon.

And if I've passed it on as an earworm then I'm so so sorry!

Apologies for another shot of Bluebells but in the end I found the time last Sunday to visit North Cliff Woods that are managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. I spent a very pleasant hour wandering about enjoying millions of bluebells

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED AND SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING THAN JUST GIVING A FAVE

A long weekend down in Kent / Sussex produced a mixture of fabulously warm and sunny weather and, more typical for the time of year, dull days with a biting wind. One of the sunnier days was last Friday, which also came with some early morning mist to add to the atmosphere.

In this shot, framed by the signal gantry, a Southeastern 10-car train catches the sun trying to break through as it approaches Sevenoaks station with the 9.51am Tunbridge Wells - London Charing Cross (2H74).

Built by GEC Alsthom at the Metro-Cammell plant in Birmingham, 2-car 'Networker' unit 466009 is leading, with a pair of 4-car class 465s, units 465927 and 465931, on the back.

Looks best full-screen.

Apologies for tardy responses recently - should catch up over the next couple of days.

Apologies very behind .

Thanks for all faves and comments .

Apologies for my lack of activity on Flickr - we were away for a few days and on returning, I found my grandson had unwittingly shared his daycare cooties, to which I am defenseless. In any case, a snowy Sunday afternoon and morale boosting hot toddy found me playing with pictures again. This one is from last September just outside Fundy National Park. I like the composition and have come back to it a few times but it's not a great image - there was no sky, it was getting late so the light was poor, and there was a breeze stirring the grasses. Sliders Sunday seemed a good excuse to push the limits and see what would happen - though I was probably encouraged a bit by the toddy. Thanks for your patience.

First of all, apologies for not having been around. I’ve been following his example of staring into the distance and striving for a complete state of comatose oblivion. And obviously, this worked rather well for me and him. Even though I recently picked up the camera again, did not really find anything worthwhile to record. My lack of motivation was and is a contributing factor.

Merry Christmas to all of you and having the best of intentions to post some more. Same as last year, I still dislike Christmas songs intensely, so I am using this one as an alternate.

(apologies to North Carolina) At least the first close flight capture I've had of a white pelican. At Fernhill wetlands. The morning light on the clouds was a bonus!

Apologies for the early 80s British earworm but I had it in my head after taking this image for ages after :-) Taken in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire

Apologies Old Image cropped of a sheep in the local field

Apologies to all you togs out there, as you must be getting a little tired of this location.

The thing is, it's been the only venue I've been able to access and I do need to practice :)

I've called it lighting the sky, as that was what it did for a short period. I just love this time of day, especially when you get colour like this.

Apologies for quietness, I have a few posts to catch up on! I hope everyone is having a great Easter.

So this was Easter Saturday at a location that needs no introduction. Coincidently I experienced epic conditions here Easter Saturday last year. Then I thought nothing of going up to the top but this year I couldn't face it! Maybe Lyme fatigue but I was definatly lacking the energy needed to make that horrendous climb.

So I shot a bit lower and tried a few different compositions, some including the stone steps. However some of the shots I've seen from those who climbed a bit higher were pretty epic, while the fog was ebbing and flowing.

Apologies if you faved my last shot but when i saw it on my ipad it looked too light and I'm too tired to mess with it now. This shot was the last one of a beautiful evening here so I am doing things back to front lol... starting from the end instead of the beginning. Never mind, I only had time to process a few as my PC was acting up which i could have done without today....

I hope to start catching up now I'm back - the WIFI in the rental cottage was hopeless so I couldn't upload the photos i took with me on a memory stick either :(

The Rumps is a twin-headland promontory at the north-east corner of Pentire Head in north Cornwall, United Kingdom. The promontory is formed from hard basaltic rock and projects north into the Atlantic Ocean. Its headlands lie east-to-west.

The sun actually set well to the left of this shot and this is the afterglow that took me by surprise and I had to whip out my camera again after packing everything up :)

Apologies for my delay in replying on Flickr, I have been busy, we are going away for a while, back early February, I thought I would post this new photo of my little tortie

HI SO SORRY FOR MY LATE REPLY, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR LOVELY COMMENTS AND FAVES, MY HOLIDAY WAS DIFFERENT AS I FELT EVEN BEFORE WE TOOK OFF AND THINGS WERE BAD TO WORSE AFTERWARDS, SINCE WE CAME BACK i HAVE NOT FELT LIKE DOING ANYTHING BUT TODAY I AM COMING BACK, THERE WILL BE A NEW PHOTO LATER, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

Apologies it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Work has been just a little busy. I had, as always, gone out for a walk with the mutt this evening and spotted a huge orange moon, but a macro lens isn’t the correct tool for the job, it did however mean that I ran to find the camera and have trawled back through the photos taken during the unlocked period that we enjoyed in Wales over the summer.

This was taken whilst we walked up sugar loaf mountain, not a native ladybird and looked pretty threatening I felt. Trust that you’re all keeping well, stay safe during these difficult times. Thanks for stopping
