came to our light-sheet, these are active day and night

Giant honey bee,Never seen in lower Sindh but it is bocoming a common bee/Pollinator of Oil Seed Crops of Sindh.

Basically it is of southern and southeastern Asia mainly in forested areas like the Terai of Nepal. The subspecies with the largest individuals is the Himalayan cliff honey bee - Apis dorsata laboriosa - but typical Apis dorsata workers from other subspecies are around 17–20 millimetres (0.7–0.8 in) long.

Dopo la fine dell'acacia, le api in attesa di castagno e tiglio, bottinano sui numerosi prati della nostra zona.

Le specie prese in considerazioni dagli insetti sono numerose, in questi scatti le ho trovate su Amorpha Fruticosa, Salvia Pratensis, Potentilla reptans, Trifolium repens, Lamiastrum Galeobdolon, Cardus nutans, Antheris tinctari e su altre specie che spero di inserire tra poco.

"G-APIS" Pipistel ApisBee (062ABF33) at The Flying Show, NEC Birmingham on 30/11/13

 

Apis mellifera worker (Hym. Apidae) visiting an inflorescence of a palm tree, 10.v.2010, La Bouverie, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France.

Ingredients per a 4 persones:

4 naps

2 patates

150 g de cansalada viada ibèrica

1 cuixa de pollastre

1 carcassa de pollastre

1 pastanaga

1 branca d'api

1 ceba

julivert

nou moscada

oli

sal

Elaboració:

Feu un brou en l'olla de pressió amb el pollastre, la pastanaga i l'api, saleu-ho i deixeu coure 10 minuts. En una cassola poseu l'oli i sofregiu la ceba picada. Mentrestant peleu les patates i els naps, talleu les patates en quadradets i els naps en triangles, feu el mateix amb la cansalada viada i fregiu-la en una paella sense oli per a desgasar-la, afegiu-li a l'olla les patates i el nap, sofregiu una mica i poseu-hi la cansalada viada escorreguda. Coleu el brou en l'olla i deixeu coure 15 minuts, al final de la cocció afegiu-li un mica de nou moscada rallada i julivert.
