An apartment complex near Tokushima University.

This is where I am sitting as I type this description.

The old color does look a bit dreary. The new color helps make it cheerful but I think also takes away some of the impressiveness of the buildings.

Because of my health and financial situatio, I have decided to sell my house and move out to the farm--a good thing. My son is going to convert half of his very large shop into an apartment. His BIL is an architect and drew up some plans for us. If things go as planned, I sould be in by November. This will be the view from my apartment!

Our apartment still isn't set up as it will be, which is why the easel is in the family room instead of the art guest room. However, we are getting there and I absolutely love living here. It feels like a home for all four of us.

The perfect amount of space, hardwood floors throughout, lots of windows and light. We are on the corner of a 5 unit building, but we only share one wall with another apartment so it feels like we are on our own entirely.

I will take more photographs soon. I am borrowing David's camera this week once the wedding photographs are uploaded.

Happy 1-year anniversary to my apartment and me!

On April 8, 2009 I got the keys to this place, and it was a huge milestone in my life because it was the first time I had a place all of my own. No family, no roommates. This move was a long time coming, but the right place landed in my lap at the right time, and at the right price.

One year later, I am still very happy with it, and I am tremendously proud of the home I've managed to put together. May my 86-year-old landlord live a long and healthy life, so I won't be forced to move any time soon. :-)

Some progress in the apartment. Josh took out the shelves and made a breakfast bar.

This apartment building features interior illumination and many interior details. It's prominent position on the layout with large Trailways billboard sign on top makes it a showpiece of the Central New York Modelers HO-scale layout at the Amherst Railway Society Railroad Hobby Show 2020.
