This is an early photo taken of my apartment's living room, with plenty of things dirty and not much unpacked yet.
When I can get more photos up, I will hopefully be able to upload better ones as things get cleaner and I accessorize more.
This is the living area of my apartment, mostly taken up by a bed. It's all the same room as the kitchen area.
While studying Italian in Florence, Italy for the month of July I shared a four bedroom, two bath apartment with five female students from UCI (University of California). I had my own room as did one of my roommates. The remaining four paired up.
We were on what we would consider the third floor, but in Italy is the second floor. The bottom floor or ground floor in Italy is not numbered, and is called just that --- bottom floor or ground floor. Sometime it is called 0 floor. The next floor up, what we would call the 2nd floor, is the 1st floor in Italy.
It was a very nice apartment, quite large and away from the tourist area in a nice section of Florence just north of the Arno River and a little east of Stazione Leopolda. It was about a two mile walk to school through Piazza San Giovanni and Piazza Duomo, tourist area in Florence. I didn't spend much time in the apartment. I was up early and out by 7:00 am. Classes were from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm and then I was on the move visiting and exploring different parts of the city.
We did have a washing machine, but since I didn’t bring a lot of clothing I usually hand washed my clothes in the evening and hung them up to dry. I’ve learned many lessons from my travels over the years and now travel with very little.

Pics of my new apartment. All my furniture, art, etc. is done in my living room. I am still working on getting my mirror and other things up on my bedroom walls. When that's done, I am completely done. It'll be nice to have some days off where I have nothing more to do to make the apartment really feel and look the way I want it.
You can see some Midnight views of Burger King outside my porch. It's better than having other apartments in my view, so I'm happy.
My closet is huge... Down the stairs is access to my front door and garage. I was going to take pictures of the garage but it's just one big, long garage.

My empty hallway. The walls are concrete so I've never been able to hang anything as I do not have the appropriate tools. Front door then a closet on the right. Kitchen then the bedroom on the left.

I've been playing around with my grandfather's 1965 model Fugica Half. It's quite a handy little camera, but I made the mistake of putting 400 speed film in it, and the ASA only goes to 200. I thought I accounted for the difference in processing, but some of the negs came out pretty light. I don't mind that, actually -- gives me some room to play with textures, as I did here.
Here's more info about half format cameras:
