While I was in Kyle, Texas getting my cherry pie fix..:) I couldn't help but grab my camera and do a little walk around. There was a small train station about 2 blocks from the pie store. It looked really nice and new. I had the feeling that it may have been built for tourist. Kyle's pretty small, so I have a hard time believing the passenger train really stops there. Plus, it wasn't on google map..:) What more proof do you need..lol..Happy Father's Day everyone. My girls don't live close so the best I can hope for is a phone call
Part of what appears to be about a 1951 Mercury sedan that is in the process of restoration. The front clip was missing so it is difficult to identify.
Just for the record, I did not take this photo. It was emailed to me by a friend who asked me to upload it. Personally, I think it's an incredibly cool example of utter entropy!
I saw this orginal 57' Chevy sitting in a side street and thought it was a great photo opportunity and I decided to do a very Cubaish like edit.

Culm bank near McAdoo, PA. A culm bank is a waste pile from coal mining, and is also known as a spoil tip, boney pile, gob pile, waste tip or bing. The mining companies who left this are long gone.
With the kind help of doogal333 who went by my guidelines, I was able to rid myself of the ugly trailers in the background, and replace them with a beautiful natural setting which dramatically offsets the car. The grassy foreground, though, was retained. This Velie, with its rakish roadster lines, and ample brass accessories, is to me the quintessentiial antique car.
